Stayed Feb 12, 2026This was our second time staying at this beautiful home on Lake Kiwassa. Alan is a very attentive host and made sure we had everything we needed. The layout of the home offers a nice balance of privacy and shared space if you are staying with a group. We will definitely plan to return in the future!

Stayed Sep 24, 2025Very nice location on lake Kiwassa. It was not far from the town of Saranac Lake but very secluded. Plenty to do out doors. Also the property had a dock and kayaks as well as a fire pit area.Alan was very helpful and came to the house to answer questions. He was also available to my friends. He was great. The house was pristine as was the location. Will go back in a heart beat.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025A great week. Close enough to Saranac and Lake Placid to do some shopping and dining. Great swimming and we rented a pontoon boat to experience the locks and lakes. Alan was a very friendly and considerate host.

Stayed Feb 15, 2024My family and I had an amazing time staying at the Kiwassa Lake Lodge. Alan, the host, was very responsive and easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. We stayed with our two small children and brought two dogs and the house was just perfect. Alan continuously made sure we had firewood for both the indoor and outdoor fires and the house was very clean and comfortable. We are already booked for another lakeside adventure this winter!

Stayed Oct 3, 2024Wow! This property was perfect for our fall family trip. Its location was off the beaten path but close enough to town to give us easy access to activities. We were impressed by the amount of water frontage. We had extraordinary weather for October and were able to fish and use the provided canoe. Our host, Alan, was easy to contact and responsive to our questions/needs before, during, and after our stay. We are so happy to have found this place!

Stayed Sep 9, 2024Kiwassa Lodge was just what we needed, serene and spacious. Sitting on the patio or down on the dock, there was near silence, just an occasional boat (but no jet skis). Alan is very responsive and accommodating. The house is not a cookie cutter lake house but an architecturally appealing design and likely built in the hey day of Adirondacks (not that its time has past) with lots of lake facing glass. We had everything we needed and everything was clean. Not quite perfect, but pretty close. And any short comings were forgotten when a bald eagle made a few passes by us when sitting on the dock.

Stayed Sep 5, 2024The property is as represented and there are no downside surprises. It is gloriously spacious inside and out, private and clean. There is plenty of privacy for couples and families to be separate but tons of common space inside and out to congregate. Very comfortable over all. Equipped with everything we needed kitchen wise and two grills make it nice for large BBQs. The fire pit outside and the fire place inside is great as we had unseasonably cold nights. The heat does come up quickly in the rest of the house as we needed it one night, mid forties. This is an elegant Dak lake house that is both modern with updates and some rustic qualities that add personality. The fishing is surprisingly good given the population. There are two kayaks and a canoe the kids loved. Dock is nice.. steps down the banking stairs is easy, but may be rough on the grand parents with knee problems. If you have a big group or family that needs to spread out and relax.. Go Here. We really enjoyed our stay. A couple local tips. If you are a health conscious foodie, the Aldi and Grand Union may not float your boat. There is a fully stocked healthfood store called, Nori's, that also has coffee and pre-made items. Sunday's, in summer, is a farmers market in the town park by the waterfront. We plan on comming back for a longer stay next time
