Waterfront Cottage & Dock w/ Beautiful View - 5MM

Thanks for the great stay for our entire family! Great location and easy to get around

This place was perfect for my family. Nice quiet place on a nice quiet cove. The parking and getting in and out was a little bit of a challenge because it is nearly single lane and the roads going in and out are a lot bigger hills than we were used to, but we figured it out. The view from the porch was great, dock was awesome and it was a perfect spot for my family to get away! All the appliances were new. It was not huge, not tiny, just right for our family

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location in the cove is great if you have a boat since it's tucked in a smaller cove and sheltered from the bigger waves in the main part of the cove. The dock was great for swimming off of and just lounging out and was nice to have a place for our boat. There are a couple spots on the dock that need to be repaired to prevent damage to your boat, but we added some extra bumpers in those spots just to be careful. The property was clean and looked to be recently updated, but not all that comfortable as one of the 'bedrooms' was actually the main entryway turned into a bedroom. The outdoor patio with grill was a nice amenity. The kitchen/livingroom area was fairly cramped and while the couch looked pretty new, it wasn't very comfortable for just lounging in the house while trying to beat the heat. Communication with the owner was good when we arrived, though I wouldn't recommend using the alternate boat ramp he suggested. There's a much better one by the lighthouse on the main channel about 1-2 miles east of the cove. He also let us use the laundry in the basement to dry towels and do a load of laundry, but we only learned about its existence after calling the owner asking where the nearest laundromat was. That should be included in the rental since it's almost a necessity for week-long rentals, so we're grateful he allowed us to use it. Having a more comprehensive folder for FAQs would be nice to have.

There was a cleaning issue that John assisted with quickly by giving us access to a linen closet. Overall, the inside is in need of a good cleaning-not a turn and burn. The neighbor was very quiet and we enjoyed the dock and deck. Per John the paddle boat is no longer available.

We had a great family vacation, house has a beautiful view of the lake and was in quiet cove. We were able to launch our boat and park the trailer at the little marina just at the beginning of our cove, which made things much easer. The house has a super nice dock, with large slip for our boat. There’s a table and seating area by the bar on the dock. Fish cleaning station is nice for anglers, we caught several fish from the dock area. The owner was very helping with any questions we had and was quick to reply. I highly recommend this place for a lake getaway. My only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.

So we booked this for 3 couples all traveling without our kids. We got there and expected 3 bedrooms as listed. It’s a 2 bedroom 2 bath home that the entry way room (with no doors) has a bunk bed in which is supposedly the 3rd bedroom. I wouldn’t call a room without doors and the walk way for the master bedroom to get to the main house a bedroom. I think it’s inaccurately listed, as should say that it has a 3rd bed option not a private room. We obviously made it work, but felt bad for the couple left with zero privacy. With that said it was all very clean, great furnishings & dock. Wonderful location right on the lake. Perhaps a better option if you just had kids to leave in the extra bed space but not for a group of friends. Happy traveling :)

Came for a bachelor party and it was everything we needed. Great location, very clean and easy to access.

John was extremely helpful anytime we had a question. Tight squeeze as in parking but the bat was awesome house of clean and comfy.
