Waterfront Canal House in Jamaica Beach, Galveston Tx

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This has been one of our favorite rentals in Jamaica Beach. It is in a great location and the home is so nice. The rooms are big and everything was very comfortable. Fishing was great right off the dock and we had a great time just hanging out there. The only ding I would give this property is the storage area in the backyard was a bit junky looking, but it is off to the side so it wasn't that big of a deal. Everything else was amazing - we will definitely return!

Checking in was a huge problem with this property. Our rental agreement stated to check in at their office by 4pm and we were there at 320pm with no one there. We waited to see if anyone would show up until after 4pm and when no one did, we called the office number. When that went unanswered we started calling the emergency number, emailing, messaging on VRBO and all went unanswered. We then contacted VRBO customer service and were on the phone with them for hours trying to get a hold of the rental company with no solution. After we decided to start driving home we got a hold of Mary on the real estate side and she contacted someone from the rental company to finally let us in. By the time we got back to the house it was 9pm and we had lost out on half a day of our vacation and had to spend the next day rearranging our plans. We had 5 kids and our dog, plus a weeks worth of groceries with us in the car while this was all happening. Once we finally got into the house, we were able to start enjoying our self and it is a very beautiful house. Other cons would be that construction on the house was scheduled for when we were there, the neighbors dogs were constantly barking at our dog even while he was inside, and the company never contacted us to apologize or rectify the inconveniences that happened at the beginning.

We had a great time. Our kids had a blast fishing off the back dock and caught lots of little fish. The house itself was very nice. We will be coming back to this one for sure.

The house is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the beautiful sunsets. Loved the Tiki Bar and seating area downstairs. Great location and conveniently located, only a short drive to the beach. We loved it and will be back!
