Waterfront beach house. 5 min from Traverse City. Private Sandy beach.2026-26

The property reminded my wife of her Girl scout experience at winter camp (log cabin.) All the beds were large and comfortable, plenty of hot water and a great view to see the sunrise. It's a shame that it was so cloudy the entire time that we didn't get to see it though, but the host was very understanding about us having to leave a day early due to the winter storm.

Wonderful cozy home! We enjoyed time with friends and family for my husbands 30th birthday!

We were in Traverse City for a wedding and stayed for four nights. The house is perfectly laid out so that there’s privacy for everyone. The yard and the beach are absolutely amazing! You literally 10 minutes from downtown Traverse City and about 20 minutes from Sutton’s Bay. The house was spotless and everything you can possibly need is stocked. The communication from the property owner was stellar. Very responsive and very helpful. The highest recommendation I can give is to say that we are definitely going to book it again next year. I have been renting with VRBO since they started a couple of decades ago and this property was definitely in my top five.

The house was nice, but there were several amenities that were lacking. Firstly, please let your guests know that the beach may appear sandy, but in fact it is very rocky! you could not go in the water without water shoes. It would have been nice to know this is advance. Next the bath towels. I'm sorry but when I'm spending 4500 to stay a house, I expect things to seem fairly new. The towels seemed to be 20yrs old. They were very ratty. Lastly, We are a family that likes to cook. If you are the same way, bring your own knives. The only chopping knives she had were steak knives and a very dull small paring knife that didn't cut a thing. Oh and be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Lots of beds, one in every corner, but not a single dresser for drawers to put things in.

Great location. Beach area is beautiful. Wonderful gathering space in the house. Host had excellent communication. Would have been helpful to know about the walk through bedroom. Cleanliness needs a little work.

We had a wonderful stay. The home suited us very well. Our two sons were there with their wives and a total of three grandchildren (one 3-year-old, two 5-year-old twins). There are five bedrooms total in three clusters (two 2-bedrooms with bathrooms, one 1-bedroom with bathroom) so it was easy to keep some distance during naps, bedtime, etc. Two dishwashers and a fenced backyard for play outside were also pluses.

The location is very nice and the host responded quickly to any question,. The house needs to be updated and cleaned better. The road in front is very busy to cross over to the beach but we enjoyed our stay.

We had a family group of 9 adults and 1 infant. We loved having 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Plenty of space to fit our needs and spread out. Property is close to wineries and breweries we visited. Also several fishing areas close to house. Nice backyard space! If in the area again, we would certainly like to stay here.

This was a great home base for a weekend of birthday wine and cider tasting. The house was cozy warm despite the cool fall weather. Beds were comfy, and we appreciated everything being on one level. We would definitely book again. book again. boosummer

Great house and location. Hosts were great to work with. We enjoyed our stay and made beautiful memories. Pup friendly property and our dog enjoyed his stay too.

Not what we expected from Vrbo. Misleading description of property and area. Very busy state route to cross for beach access. Property not clean. We had to clean it ourselves. Electric was substandard. Many overused or non working outlets. Clogged tub in master bathroom. Loose toilet in other bathroom. Beds squeaky. No light under microwave made for dark cooking. Poorly rated

We had a great family trip.

Our stay was as good as we could have imagined since the 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths were the perfect accommodation for 4 couples. The fenced in yard was ideal for the dog and the lake across the street made the location even that much more fun. We had a fire by on the beach or in the backyard every evening. We hope to stay there again since we travel to TC more than once per year.

Overall a good property. Able to accommodate us all. House has a bit of an odd layout and is somewhat rustic but it still worked for all 8 of us. Even though it’s a busy road the view of the lake was just beautiful.

Stayed with a group of friends for a long Memorial Day weekend. Property was very centrally located, clean and spacious enough for everyone to have their own bedroom and bathroom areas which we all enjoyed. Host was very cordial and accommodating as well. This was my first time using VRBO but this stay has definitely sold me on how well it functions for larger groups. I would definitely recommend this property and be willing to stay again.
