LITTLE SPOKANE RIVER.
Little Spokane River is a 35-mile long hidden treasure. River contains native rainbow trout, introduced brown trout, Sucker-fish, Brook trout and Mountain Whitefish. If you’re not an angler, the Little Spokane runs through Riverside State Park and offers miles of hiking trails. Try the loop beginning at Painted Rocks in the Little Spokane. Discover views of Long Lake and Spokane River.

THE FOREST:
Our Guest house opens to the outdoors, river & forest. This exposure to nature provides an inspirational relaxing effect. Japanese call it 'Shinrin-Yoku' which translates to 'forest bathing'. The idea is simple: If a person visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way, there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved. Studies have documented reduced stress, lower blood sugar, better concentration, diminished pain, and improved immunity.

Taking in a forest atmosphere has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Researchers have established a robust body of scientific literature on health benefits of spending time under the canopy of a living forest. Many trees give off organic compounds that support “NK” (natural killer) cells that are part of our immune system's way of fighting cancer.

My husband and I wanted somewhere to unwind and we also wanted to be surrounded by nature - we hate the hotel scene. This was just the ticket. A beautiful log cabin with comfy beds, a THEATER ROOM with the most comfortable chairs I've ever used (the white ones with the separate ottomans). The owners had left Seattle's Best Coffee for us, complete with the fixings - what a treat. Also, a very well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. The first night there, we were fishing in the stream and were visited by deer, a bunny rabbit and incredibly, great horned owls - one sat across the stream and watched us for maybe a couple of hours. Fun! We loved sitting out on the covered back deck out by the stream...so relaxing. The hot tub was just an added bonus. I was also pleased to find, after getting into the shower and having forgotten to grab the soap, there is a wonderful dispenser with soap, shampoo and conditioner. We wanted to just stay forever. We'll be back! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at the tiny house on the Little Spokane River. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, a perfect retreat. Rick was very helpful upon check-in, taking the time to show us how everything in the home worked and sharing great information about the area. My only regret is not having more time to simply enjoy the tranquility of the house and its beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend this spot and look forward to coming back.

My husband and I enjoyed the tiny house, the location is peaceful and relaxing. Very quiet place. It is truly a Tiny House, you can’t stand up straight in the loft bedroom. The bed is very comfortable though. We enjoyed the Blackstone grill on the deck. The hot tub was also a welcome addition. Outside a downside was that a tree dropped so much sticky red staining debris it was impossible to walk out there without getting them stuck on our shoes. It ruined my slippers. The tables and chairs also covered with this stuff. The slow moving river was great and we saw deer, river otters and lots of geese and their babies. I recommend this place for 1-2 people who want a relaxing time away.

Just enough space and very peaceful and relaxing. This property provided everything we needed for our short stay. We were joined daily by deer and bunnies on the property and we also got to see a river otter and a bull moose!

This was one of the BEST vacations we've had! The tiny house was clean and perfectly ready for our arrival. We loved the nearness to the Little Spokane River, and to ability to enjoy a coffee right by the river and relax along with the scenery, the birds, and the calming atmosphere! The booking process, and the communication with the ownership was excellent. We highly recommend the tiny house for all types of travelers and vacationers! We look forward ourselves to returning this incredible spot!

We had a lovely time at the tiny cabin. Even with crazy high temps outside, it stayed nice and cool inside. It was small but had everything we needed. We loved taking walks and seeing wildlife - tons of deer and bunnies, plus we saw many types of birds and a marmot. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks to our very hospitable host and transaction coordinator!

Great location and beautiful setting! We ate all of our meals and had our morning coffee outside on the deck every day of our stay. Close enough to the city to not be a hassle, but far enough to feel like a true getaway! Host was very nice had lots of useful tips for things to do and see.

We had a two night respite as we traveled home to Portland, Oregon from Glacier National Park. We were so pleasantly surprised by the lush beauty of the lawn, rolling down to the river. The tiny house was very thoughtfully laid out. We enjoyed a morning hot tub, and the chance to watch some wildlife that visited this sanctuary. We felt very welcome and enjoyed learning about this river environment. We hope to visit again!

Property is exactly as described on VRBO, a small house with a great view right along the little Spokane river. Very calm, quiet and tranquil, a wonderful couple of days spent chilling out. The little house is extremely well thought through, has many amenities not expected, the owner clearly shows exceptional organizational skills putting so much into such a small space. Communication with management and owner was excellent. We really appreciate their efforts to make our stay wonderful.
