Everything was wonderful, from the view to the cozy living room and fireplace and quiet neighborhood. Only downsides were the vegetable peeler and hot pads need to be replaced as the peeler could not peel anything and the hot pads did nothing when I picked up a hot pan and burnt my hand. Everything else was wonderful!

Great location! Spacious retro home with great Ocean views. All the things are functional and comfortable. Minutes walk to beach. Minutes drive to stores and restaurants.Walk to the beach is from the end of the street. It is a good 5 minute walk. We missed that fact while booking. And home can use a thorough cleaning and selective upgrades, particularly the cabinets and countertops. The price per night is on par with the other homes. Based on the upkeep, it can use a discount.

It is a good old beach house and has been preserved as it was when nearly new. As with old houses, not everything works. The cleaners could spend less time folding kleenex and more time cleaning the floors. The kitchen has enough kitchenware to fix a meal but there is only salt and pepper provided. The beds are very soft. The bedroom carpet needs cleaning badly.

Location is amazing, with the closeness to the beach and the views of the ocean. Quaint home with a cool retro feel, but the sofa and sitting chairs could be updated. Not very comfortable anymore. Spent every evening at the kitchen table playing games with the family.

Great location and views. House is shabby and carpet and floors dirty. Stove is a problem. Received shocks even after servicing. Towels had holes in them.

Comfortable beach house. Completely private and quiet. Wonderful ocean views and a quick walk to the beach. Large comfortable living room with a roomy kitchen. Large front burner on stove was not working but everything else in the house was great. Even though the second bathroom was in the garage it was so handy to have a second bathroom. Weather was also very cooperative which made our stay even nicer.

The location and view are what could make this property a repeat visit for us, but it really could use a few updates to make the mid century vibe really shine. As my 19 year old said, “This is basically a furniture museum with a view.” Less furniture in the living room and updared bedroom furniture is needed in order to make those spaces truly functional. Also, the heat was very difficult to dial in and we were all either boiling hot or freezing at night. The location and view beat out all of these things though and we thoroughly enjoyed the almost empty beach every day. Short drive to either Newport or Yachats. Beware, the key lock box was very hard to get on/ off.

Home was cozy and ready when we arrived. We had trouble with the lock box, however a quick text to contact number assisted with check in code. Home was quaint and clean. The furniture needs to be replaced to make this a perfect 5 star vrbo. The couch was very worn and broken down. Pieces of tile under the cushions had been placed to help firm it up some, but very uncomfortabe to sit on. The carpets in the bedroom need a good cleaning or replaced. They smelled of pets. We had to run to town to purchase pillows the ones they had available were so flat. Not all the burners on the stove work so plan that when preparing meals. Make a list of needed items to run to town because there is no tinfoil, baggies, spices, oils, and such, as weve experienced in past vrbos. We tried using the fireplace but even following the instructions to crack open the sliding door to help with a draft the smoke still filled the room more then it should have. The place felt secure, safe and very private. The view from the living room and back deck is what made this place a gem. I hope the furniture and carpet can be replaced soon to make other stays more enjoyable.

The ocean views from the house were beautiful! The best part. We didn’t eat/ cook at the house but the amenities overall were sufficient although very 70s! The second bathroom is really part of the garage and very small. The check-in box was very hard to open, it took a number of trying before we got the keys. It should be replaced. The beach access is a short way away and the beach is lovely! I think the property is overpriced considering how outdated it is, the sheets and towels really need to be replaced. The 4 stars are really for the view.

We had the most relaxing weekend staying at this property! Tucked away down a little gravel road, this home has beautiful beach views, beach town charm, and truly feels like it could be your family beach home. Meredith Properties is extremely responsive if you need assistance, and the listing is exactly as the photos suggest! We did crafts on the back patio, walked down to the beach via private access, and enjoyed getting coffee and bagels from the stand up the drive. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and relax on a gorgeous stretch of the Oregon coast!

Nestled in an incredible beachfront location between Waldport and Yachats, surrounded by trees and the beach, well away from the 101. Gorgeous views. There are no streetlights or other lights around, so on clear nights the stars show brightly. On the inside, we enjoyed the classic fireplace and the ample cabinets and counter space. Meredith is well organized and responsive. The interior is pretty dated, but maybe that’s a feature and not a bug—60s chic. The only negatives would be that the wifi is really too slow—sometimes we were unable to watch a program we wanted. The bathtub drain needs repair, as it doesn’t hold water well, and it doesn’t drain well. For that it probably just needs Draino. We would definitely rent it again.

Great house for us with an active dog ~ loved that she could run free on the beach, just a 4 minute walk from the house. Fireplace could use a cleaning (flu seemed to work inefficiently - as was reported by others; lots of smoke when starting) The house had a strong smokey smell. Fortuntately it was warm enough to keep doors open for ventilation. Well equipped kitchen, beds & linens need serious upgrading : / Location, location, location would have us return!
