Stayed Jul 11, 2024The one good quality of the Wallace House is that it was clean. But it needs a lot of work and TLC to bring it up to snuff. It's very tattered looking on the outside. The walkway up to the house is uneven and dangerous including a splintery rail on the steps. The overhangs on both front and back porches is falling apart and unsightly. The furnishings are very low-end as is the decor which makes it a dismal overall atmosphere. This includes sheets, pillows, dishes, cookware, wall decorations etc It seems like the cheapest items possible were used to outfit the place. The outlet in the bathroom doesn't work and the bath tub faucet seems as if it's about to fall off. The oven was filthy and the Keurig machine did not work because it needs descaling This is not to mention that this house should not be rented in the hot summer months as it is not air conditioned. By 1:00 both days it got up to 89 in the house and that was with trials with multiple fans and opening and closing windows. We spent two miserable, hot nights there. We knew it didn't have AC but we trusted it could be cooled down. A LOT of work needs to be done if this is to be an acceptable place to rent.

Stayed Jun 16, 2023The property location is great. We were able to walk where we needed to go and our family lived right around the corner too. There was no AC which has previously been stated in a review, it would be nice to have one for sure. The house looked clean but after 30 minutes of my son running around inside with bare feet his feet were black. There was like 90% of a fenced back yard, it would have been super nice to have a complete one. The house sleeps 8 but there is only enough plates and such for 6 people. There was one singular pot and one pan, so if you stay there make sure to bring your own cooking stuff. All in all it was decently priced and had a good location.

Stayed Aug 9, 2022The only negative I would share is that the house did not have air-conditioning and there was record heat in Coeur d’Alene. Other than that, three bedrooms and one bathroom with all the amenities you could need. Very clean inside. Nice quiet area in the garden district and fairly easy walk to shops and restaurants.

Stayed Jun 27, 2022We had a great time in CDA! This house is small, but cute. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great! Those are two of my most important qualities. Angie was very easy to communicate with as well. It was the perfect home for our trip.
