Walk To Town From Unique Home Near River. Great Mountain Views

The house is amazing, hidden from the street and built into the side of the mountain with a glass roof. The many levels and en-suite baths gave us and our two grown sons and partners lots of privacy and together space. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the steam shower and hot tub as well.

We had a great stay at this house. The space was very spacious, which made it perfect for our group, and there were plenty of comfortable areas to hang out, relax, and spend time together. The layout made it easy for everyone to have their own space while still feeling connected. The home itself is very unique and has a lot of character, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would definitely consider coming back. The host was very accommodating as well.

We had a great stay at this house. Check-in was so easy with timely messages for entry. The house was just as described. We had 3 generations so it was nice to have a multi-level place which gave a little more privacy. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms looked like they had all been recently renovated. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we could want. The weather was delightful so we began and ended the day on the spacious patio. Several adults used the sauna and enjoyed it. The location was wonderful. We walked to town everyday, and with 2 small boys, it was so nice to be near the Rio Grande Park and John Denver Sanctuary. We could also walk to a nice grocery store which we did several times. We had a fabulous family vacation and this house was a great place to stay. Again the location was the best!!

Great home

We were extremely surprised when we opened the door only to find out that the house had no air conditioning for our July stay. Unfortunately, this fact was not stated anywhere in the property description. It was fine at night with the sliding glass doors open and fans going However, the Cottonwood was so bad that the house was filled with it. We have a couple people with allergies and my daughter had to leave and cut her trip short because she got so sick having it in the house and in her bedroom 24/7. We reached out to the owner however there’s nothing that one could do. Response time was a little slow. The house itself is very interesting and at one time I’m sure very cool. However, it is in desperate need of updating. couches, chairs, etc., are thread bare. The pillows are tired with use flat, kitchen, and pans are crusty and really old. it just overall felt a little icky.

The house was really amazing. Had everything we could have needed or asked for. 4 levels of bedrooms so each couple had their own area and that allowed for utmost privacy. Kitchen was fully equipped, and the hot tub and steam shower was a nice added bonus. Bathrooms were spacious and convenient to sleeping areas. Multiple den areas. Easy to relax.

Great host and home, near everything, next to multi-million dollar mansions

Wonderful place to stay in the summer (we visited in July for 9 days). Great location - walk to John Denver Sanctuary, Clark's Market, the Rio Grande River and Trail and town. No need for a car unless you want to explore away from Aspen. The house was clean, comfortable and well supplied. We ate most dinners on the outside deck near the kitchen. We had no complaints. Great place to stay unless you have difficulty with stairs - there are lots of stairs. My wife and I are are in our 70s and the stairs were no problem for us - in fact we like the different levels in the house since they allow more privacy when in the bedrooms. However, someone who has difficulty with stairs might consider staying elsewhere. If you are not physically handicapped, this house is a wonderful place to stay!
