The Space:

This 3-bedroom coastalhome offers the perfect blend of comfort and beachside charm.

Relax in the private hot tub, grill out in the spacious backyard designed for entertaining, or unwind in the separate studio with its own cozy bed.

Please note: This is a one-of-a-kind San Diego beach bungalow with a non-traditional layout that may not suit everyone's needs.



The main bedroom is located upstairs and features a king-size bed, along with an additional queen bed at the top of the stairs.

The second bedroom is a separate space in the backyard, furnished with a pull-out couch and a lofted queen bed above. Please note that the loft is accessed via a steep staircase with no railing, so it's best suited for older children or agile adults.

The third sleeping area includes a king-size bed in the main living space, separated by curtains for added privacy.

To help keep our guests and property safe, we’ve installed a security camera on the outside front door of the unit. This camera is outdoor-only and do not record any interior spaces. Your privacy is fully respected inside the home.

The house is equipped with a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector for your safety.

This property is equipped with a noise monitoring device that tracks noise levels (without recording sounds) and alerts the host or host’s agents if the noise exceeds acceptable levels.

Please note that we do not supply drinking water for guests. There is a water dispenser at the property; however, guests will need to purchase their own water jug if they wish to use it. Water jugs can be purchased nearby at People’s Co-op. The tap water is safe for drinking.

Hot Tub Care:

To ensure a clean and enjoyable experience for all guests, please rinse your feet before entering the hot tub to prevent sand and debris from accumulating in the water. Sand can cause damage to the system and require extensive cleaning.

    This rental is a great depending on what you are looking for. This location is very convenient to downtown OB, beach and can sleep a lot of people. I appreciated all of the amenities provided by the owners, even though we did not have time to use most of them. We knew that the layout of the place was going to be odd (per the listing) and honestly we didn’t mind it. There were only four of us and this place provided good mix of communal and private space. But, several oddities made it less than ideal: musty smell upon entry, electrical situation and low water pressure. First, the place smelled musty when we first got there (maybe that is normal beach environment?). Also, we found the remote for the main TV in a pool of rusty water, thus no TV for the weekend…we survived! (odd that housekeeping did not catch this.) Second, there are many electrical outlets and light switches that didn’t seem to be functioning. It was quite a game to figure out what switches/lights can brighten which room. For example, in the main bedroom upstairs, there are beautiful scones right over the bed but none of the switches worked (even after checking the breakers). Finally, the water pressure is a definite negative. If you are unfortunate enough to be showering when someone flushes a toilet in the house, the already gentle shower will become just drips. Regardless of all the added adventures in this place we had a great weekend.

    Good location and property. Really centrally located and lots of amenities. Be aware there is only street parking and some of the neighbors will complain if you are outside past 10pm.
