This house was great for our family of 6 adults and 2 little ones..it is not baby proof though, if that's something you need. It was only a short walk to the beach access and the golf cart provided is a convenient way to take a ride around the island. The beds need updating, and some of the lights as well, but overall would stay at this house again.
Our family had a wonderful stay on Harbour Island. The location to the beach was great, about 100 yards from front door to beach. The pool was within walking distance for those willing, but with the heat, it wasn’t an enjoyable walk. The golf cart was perfect for the pool and checking out the island. The trip would not have been as enjoyable without the golf cart. I rated cleanliness 4/5 as the master bath had mold in it, the stove was dirty, and the downstairs refrigerator was filthy. The place was nice overall, however it could use some work.
The reservations process was easy, the house rental was great, enjoyed the golf cart. The island and location felt safe and beautifully maintained.
We had a great time!! The property was spotless and for our needs perfectly. We can’t wait to come back!
Our week was great. There was one day of thunderstorms but they were even great to sit on the back porch and watch. The house was huge and well appointed. We are very thankful our host and hostess allowed us to stay in their amazing home. Would recommend Superior Coffee and Lost Local.
Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous home with us! The major highlights for the kids had to be the golf cart rides, playing basketball, searching for wildlife (it was their first time seeing an alligator in the wild), swimming in the pool and visiting the Turtles Nest, looking for shells on the beach and the room at the bottom was a perfect “boys hangout.” The adults loved the golf cart for evening rides looking at all the beautiful homes in the island, quick and easy access to the beach, the back porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and the outdoor shower made coming back from the beach with the kids a breeze. There was plenty of room for our entire family to have their own space and the home was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals. We were sad to see our trip come to an end…we hope to visit again…
We had a great weekend stay. It was a girls’ weekend and the house, location and amenities were great. The house had lots of great places to hang out, back porch, kitchen, living room and covered area under the house. We made use of them all. The beach was a short walk from the house making it easy to access. The house was clean and comfortable and we’d definitely stay again. The only issue we had was with the golf cart. Couldn’t get it to charge or when we did, it wouldn’t hold a charge. We called the rental company to report and they would have addressed it the next day. But we didn’t push the issue as we didn’t discover this until Sat afternoon and we were leaving the next morning. Hopefully it can be fixed for the next renters. We still had a fabulous time without it. Beaufort is a short drive from the house and the Shrimp Festival was going on. Lots of craft vendors were set up downtown and we wandered through. And there are a few restaurants right outside of Harbor Island that you can walk, bike or golf cart ride to, if you don’t want to cook. All round great stay!!
Amazing house! Perfect for our family of 8. The recreation area under the house was fantastic with lots of space and games for the whole family. Short walk to the most beautiful part of the beach. Golf cart included made for evening fun and help getting items to the beach. Couldn’t be happier with our trip! We will definitely be back and would chose this house again.
Our family had a good vacation and enjoyed exploring Harbor Island for the first time. This house was very roomy, allowing us to spread out and have space when needed. Loved the area under house for parking and games.
Convenient access to the beach. Safe environment and friendly neighborhood.
