This house has three bedrooms and two baths and is walking distance to some of the nicest beaches on Cape Cod Bay. Situated on a one-acre lot, this property has plenty of privacy, yet close to everything you need for a spectacular summer vacation. Sit on the back deck and listen to the birds sing their praises. Walk to the marina to enjoy the boats cruise by, or sign up for a private fishing excursion while you are there.
The house is in the center of Quivet Neck, a neighborhood first settled in 1640 by Pilgrim descendants, with many classic Cape Cod houses and historical sites to enjoy. Our house is located on Pleasant St. just off the road most traveled to the beach. If you want a vacation home with plenty of space, a huge yard and rear deck, and avoid intrusions and traffic, this is your place. Take a stroll around the neighborhood, enjoy an outside shower, or have a good read in the local library 250 yards away- the house of a famous sea captain from the 1870s.
Inside the house there are two BRs and a bathroom upstairs, and one BR off the kitchen with a bathroom nearby plus the kitchen, dining room and living room. All three BRs have window AC units that make those rooms as cool as you need them. The basement has a new tile floor with plenty of open space for kids to play inside or to store all your gear safely. The living room runs the entire length of the house, as well as the combined kitchen/dining room. The one-car garage can be used to park your car, store your bikes, beach gear, kayaks, etc.
The LR has a flat-screen television with 100 cable channels and there is WI-FI that works well throughout the house and back yard.
Enjoy lots of privacy with beautiful beaches so close, and still have a dozen restaurants within a 15-minute drive, the Museum of Natural History, movie theaters, and superb shopping facilities for food, clothing, antiques, and most anything you seek on your Cape Cod vacation. Even two of the most difficult golf course on Cape Cod are only two miles away.

Comfortable home in very desirable, quiet neighborhood. Large yard for children's games and outdoor activities. My only issue was no AC downstairs although the owner did have one available if we wanted to install it. Owner was super responsive and accommodating and even had many bikes available for easy access to the beach!
We loved being able to walk to the beach which is only about a half mile away. (David also had bikes for us if we had chosen to ride them to the beach). David was very accommodating with any request we had. The house reminded me of my aunt's house on the Cape from the 1960's. We enjoyed the neighborhood--could walk to the church and library.
Wonderful and relaxing
The house is well equipped and maintained, in a quiet neighborhood. Sesuit Beach is a beautiful beach, freely accessible with an easy 10-min walk from the house. The backyward is great for outdoor meals. David the owner was responsive to our request (linked to weather). We highly recommend the place: it was praised by grand parents, parents and children alike.
Our family of 5 -- 2 adults and 3 kids, ages 12 and under -- stayed here for a week in August. The house was nicely sized for us -- with the huge downstairs bedroom perfect for our gang of 3 who wanted to stay together - leaving the upstairs to the adults. This bedroom in particular is showing it's age-- but it has loads of shelves so it was easy for the kids to organize their stuff and the window a/c made it work for the kids during the heat. The common areas -- living room, dining room and kitchen - were also decently sized spaces considering the age of the house. There is no central air -- which can make the latch style door knobs really challenging to operate on those hot, humid days. In our opinion this house has 2 things that make it work -- the gorgeous, HUGE yard and it's location to the 2 local beaches. One of the beaches (Cold Storage) has NO parking at all for visitors - just a drop off zone - and the other (Sea Street) does have parking but for like 25 cars so it fills up quickly. With the location of this house it was super easy to drop off the kids, the stuff and one adult, drive back to the house (1/2 mile up the road) and come back on one of the many bikes in the garage! It honestly couldn't have been easier -- and those 2 beaches (which are connected) were our absolute favorite!! It is so short a bike ride that the adult riding the bike typically got to the beach before the camp was even set up. The huge yard and outdoor shower were big hits with our family -- we spent most evenings out on the deck after dinner. There is a GIANT red tailed hawk that comes to the property regularly making for some awesome photo opportunities. David was incredibly helpful when it came to the bikes -- we wanted to do some of the Cape Cod Rail Trail and didn't want to cart our bikes from NJ - he met us at the house, had us go thru the available bikes and then brought them to the local bike shop to fix a few odds and ends! The CCRT ended up being one of our favorite activities -- behind go karting at Cartwheels and the beaches -- and David definitely made that happen. Overall this house worked fine for our family of 5 and allowed us an escape we all needed.
We spent a week at this property in late July 2021. David was a great host and while we had some issues upon check in specific to cleaning, he addressed them quickly for us. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 1 child age 4. The Pros: Great location to the beach, easy drop off process (we brought our own bikes so it was easy for one of us to just bike to and from after drop off). The beach itself is amazing-not too crowded, bathrooms and the ice cream truck visits multiple times in the afternoon. The yard at the house is huge, outdoor shower was great as was clothesline. The overall house layout worked well for us (2 Bedrooms and a bath upstairs, 1 large bedroom off the kitchen downstairs). The Cons: Overall the house is definitely dated. We cook a lot and the kitchen supplies and appliances were less than what we would have liked and used to in other rentals. Also there was very limited storage for pantry items/food we brought so we had a lot of stuff in bags around the kitchen and dining room for the week. There is a gas grill outside but it’s very small. There was no outlet in the upstairs bathroom and only table lamps in the two bedrooms so the lighting was not adequate for us. The downstairs bathroom did have an outlet, but again it’s pretty small, dated and could use some updating. A Washer and dryer is located in the basement for use (great for families!) Since it rained a few days, it would have been helpful to have a drying rack down there to use. Overall we enjoyed our week on the Cape and again David was a great host.
A fabulous location near the beach. We really enjoyed biking down to the beach. It was also just a short walk away.
David’s home was perfect for our 3 day stay on the Cape with our son an new fiancé. David was super helpful, responsive, and did everything we asked for. The home is comfortable and well situated to enjoy town and beach.
David was so responsive right from beginning before we even booked his place. Once we finalized he provided great details in terms of check-in process, made sure we are happy with the house and gave great tips of thing to do and places to eat. The house was very clean and it sits on a big lot with outdoor shower, ample parking and garage full of bikes for us to ride around. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to come back next year.
We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the easy proximity to Cold Storage beach. So easy to drop off all the beach equipment with the car, then bike back to the beach in minutes! It allowed us to come and go when we needed a break from the sun, take advantage of sunsets, etc.. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.
