Easy, walkable. Very nice house

This is in a dream neighborhood and feels very authentically Austin (we lived in ATX for 9 years). A small space but plenty for a family of four. Very clean and well-stocked with towels, dishes, glassware, etc. MASSIVE closet. Soft sheets. It’s not updated in the way a lot of rentals are (all white and black) but we kind of liked that it still maintained the character of the original house. Charming! Just don’t flush while someone is in the shower! Outdoor area is really spacious but no grass. Walking distance to all of South Congress and very easy Lyft rides anywhere else. We came with two kids and the games in the red cabinet were so clutch!! Would highly recommend if you love Austin and want to be right in the middle of it.

We had the best time in Austin staying here!! The house was adorable and the perfect size for just me and my mom. We were so happy to be extremely walkable to so many shops, bars, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Red House for our first visit to Austin and my husband’s 72nd birthday. From walking in to lights on and soft music playing to being close enough to walk to South Congress, our visit was great! Comfortable beds and linens for a good night’s sleep, a very well-stocked kitchen and great internet made for a relaxing stay. We would definitely stay again!

We have spent a couple of weeks camping in our van at various TX state parks. It was nice to have a change of pace at a house in a fun Austin neighborhood.

We stayed during Austin City Limits concert. About 5 days. We walked to some neighborhood stores Used Uber for getting around. It was pleasant and comfortable house. Great location, great communication with hosts.Would definitely use again. Thanks!!!

Everything was great! Location was perfect, and the house was cute, cozy, and clean! We had everything we needed, and the host was friendly and helpful!

Very homey and comfortable house, hosts very accommodating, close to great restaurants and shopping. Tasty coffee shop a few blocks away.

Overall the house was great. Location was extremely close to congress and tons of restaurants. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dogs but the house itself could really use a deep clean. Linens and dishes were fine but the floors and bathrooms felt like they had a layer of dirt on them. Also just a good amount of dust and dirt on windowsills and lamp fixtures. Overall would have been a perfect stay had the house been a bit cleaner but would definitely recommend for anyone looking to be right in the hub of Austin.

Dani and Joel went above-and-beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Their place is cute and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed and located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the restaurants/attractions on South Congress. Would happily stay again!

Overall satisfied. The powder room could use a little upgrade. Some kind of ventilation and a larger toilet!
