This is your home away from home when visiting Santa Barbara. Two-bedrooms, 1.5 baths, large covered patio for al-fresco dining, reading, movies, relaxing. Walk up four steps to the large, private, outdoor swimming pool (not heated) and BBQ grill after you've come back from exploring.

Ride the bikes to town or to the harbor or wharf where you can shop, dine out, or just take in the beautiful views and smell the salt in the air (there are two adult and two kids bikes at the house, butyou can walk to the Wharf area and rent more.)
Santa Barbara offers wonderful festivities all year round and is famous for it's beautiful Spanish style downtown area, restaurants, beaches, courthouse, museums, zoo, live theater, concerts, shopping and more.

Come stay in a great neighborhood, convenient to everything you need to make your visit fun and relaxing, without the expense of renting a hotel room in this upscale town.

The pool is large, private and has a large deck with patio furniture, BBQ grill and privacy.

If you don't want to walk to Shoreline Cafe (right on the beach!) or Brophy Bros (at the Wharf) for the best clam chowder, fresh oysters, or fish tacos while watching dophins swim by (and the occasional whale), the kitchen has everything you need to make snacks for a picnic at the beach, or cook your meals for an outdoor party in the lanai. There is plenty of seating in the formal dining area, eat-in kitchen or on the patio (there are two!) or pool deck.

The living room has a large fireplace and the den has a TV with cable, and WiFi connection for those with a laptop.

The two bedrooms are cozy . There is a convertible sofa in the den that sleeps one.

The main bathroom has a tub and shower. There is also a powder room convenient to the outdoor patio/pool.

Bicycles, games, books (take one home!), pool toys are all available to make your stay enjoyable.

    This home is like a time capsule to the 70s/80s in decor and design. The house is well appointed with everything you need for an extended stay. Ample seating options to lounge around between adventures, excellent location to enjoy the mesa, and quick drive to downtown

    This older home offers the perfect location for biking to Stearns Wharf, State St. and close enough to walk to the beach. The home has a large pool and enclosed patio with ample room for entertaining. Appliances are up to date, the neighborhood is quiet, making our lengthy stay very enjoyable. Our host was quick to respond with questions we had. We're looking forward to our next stay!

    We stayed at this comfortable home during June 2023 while a family member was recovering from jaw surgery. The house is more spacious and updated than indicated from the VRBO photos. The location is wonderful - just a 5 minute walk to Shoreline Park, a 10-15 minute walk to the pier and wharf, and a 5 minute walk to City College. The neighborhood is very quiet. Although it was too cold to use the pool, we enjoyed dinners on the pool deck, and using the gas grill. We often ate breakfast on the front patio. The house is very well stocked with kitchen equipment and tools, towels, bedding, games & puzzles, TV's, and wifi - everything we needed. The owner was pleasant, helpful, and responsive to all of our questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    This property is in a fantastic location - easy walking distance to beach/park and not a bad walk to State St! The home is located in a lovely neighborhood, and is well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. It is an older home with older furnishing, but everything is very comfortable and tidy! Dana is very responsive to answer any questions or resolve any issues! We had a wonderful visit, and looking forward to staying here again!

    We have rented on VRBO thirty or forty times over the years, and this is one of our favorites. Yes, it’s a bit dated so if you’re someone more accustomed to and preferring contemporary interior design, this might not be for you. That said, everything in the home was totally functional and well thought out (which can’t be said for all rentals)...kitchen appliances, good lighting (electric and natural) throughout, excellent king and queen bed mattresses, large flat screen TVs, comfortable conversation and reading areas (including library with hundreds of bookshelves), every imaginable pot and pan and utensil and dinnerware, large gas barbecue. The home is even more spacious than in the photos. The patios both in front and behind the house offer superb places to enjoy early morning, afternoon and sunset light. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the pedestrian sidewalk overlooking the entire Santa Barbara coastline; access to the beach is literally blocks away from your doorstep. Dana, who manages the property, was a delight, checking in with us regularly to ensure all of our needs were met. We have already booked our return next year and are counting the days!

    This is a wonderful house in a wonderful location. It is so close to the beach and Shoreline Park and an easy trek to anywhere else that we wanted to go. The house is spacious and very well equipped. The interior is a bit dated, but that causes no problems at all! Having coffee on the lovely front porch in January was such a treat for a Montana girl. We were just sorry that it was too cold to use the pool. We can’t wait to go back.
