Walk to Beach: Family Home w/ Patio in Galveston

The house was pet-friendly. We loved the fenced in yard and carport. Property manager was very nice and accommodating.

Great location for beach & walking boardwalk Spent week dropping son off at school & getting to know area House was clean and had most amenities / bed upstairs could use upgrade very soft sinks in middle and very noisy legs Eating area is small and hard if you had more than 2 people but it worked / love seat for tv watching Nice back area was just to hot to eat out Only issue was both grill cylinder empty when we went to use grill we replaced and was reimbursed but just annoying

Rented this house for the week while we were visiting and dropping off our son at college.It was very convenient to many restaurants and the beach. The house is great for two adults and maybe two children. The living room eating quarters are very tight. Would be hard to relax. Watch TV with more than three or four people. Had all the amenities needed for cooking in and a nice outdoor back area with a grill.Unfortunately, it was just too hot to be outsideWould definitely rent this place again

Great little house close to the seawall, beach, and several restaurants. My kids had a blast with the bunk beds.

The main reason we chose this property over others was because of the pictured outdoor area, wagon with chairs, and beach toys. Aside from 3 rusty chairs, none of that was included. The only outdoor furniture that remains is the dining table and chairs. The metal frame for the sitting area remains, but there is no canopy or furniture. When I asked the property manager about the missing beach stuff, she said it is just the nature of the rentals in the area.Otherwise, our stay was lovely. The living room and kitchen are small, but we had enough space. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. The house was clean.It truly was a short walk to the beach, which helped make it easy to squeeze in beach time between other activities every day. There is a hose outside to clean off, which is very handy. There are chair rental companies at the nearby beach with no need to reserve ahead of time. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Gumbo Diner was INCREDIBLE! Nick's was overpriced with small portions. The fenced and gated yard did help us feel safer. I would not go out in the dark in the neighborhood without my husband. We had police activity a few houses down the first night, and rather rude neighbors at the rental next door who blocked our driveway and threw trash in our yard. The booking was through Evolve. The property manager was friendly and answered questions quickly, but wasn't able to help with missing amenities.

This home was perfect for our group of four! The location is ideal. just two blocks from the beach, other stores are very close, and the fenced-in backyard was great for relaxing. The price felt like a great deal for everything included. The house had everything we needed: comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, washer dryer, even a super quiet dishwasher and an amazing shower upstairs with strong water pressure. Froze on our first night cause didn’t know how well the unit was but second night slept comfortably knowing what to expect and what to put the thermostat on.We also really appreciated the early check-in, which helped a lot after arriving earlier than expected.However, some of the listing photos were misleading. There was no wagon, no sandcastle toys, or mini foam surfboard as shown. The canopy with lights near the carport also didn’t match the photo, it didn’t have a top for shade. One picture showed a heart shaped swan on the upstairs bed which also didn’t show when I arrived. Just a little disappointed in that.Still, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay overall. Just wish the photos were a bit more accurate! I left the toys I bought for the next persons stay.

We loved our stay at the colorful house on the corner. Short walking distance to the beach and dining. The back yard was the ideal for hanging out. Would recommend!

Space was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our trip.

This property is in the perfect location and is wonderful if you having mobility issues. There is a full bathroom and bedroom on ground floor with only one step to get up onto the porch. Highly recommend and will try to stay at this location again in the future.

This was the perfect vacation stay for 4 people. Perfect location two blocks from the beach and very clean. Loved the backyard and fenced in, made you feel safe. Definitely will come back.

Pros: super clean and cute! Comfy beds, towels and supplies, full kitchen, wagon was perfect. Cons: when i arrived 3 windows were unlocked. When trying to lock them i realize theyre broken. Felt Very unsafe despite cameras. Fan in bunk bed room didn't work. An issue they were already aware of but haven't fixed. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Sitting on front porch to relax then hearing a man on other side of fence screaming was not very relaxing. Workers all around the house even coming into the fenced yard as well as blocking off driveway. Paper towels and toilet paper were thin, cheap and useless. Had to buy my own. Overall cute house and great beds. But i wouldn't stay there again unless the window locks got fixed and bunk room fan was fixed. It gets too hot in that room to not have a fan. And its not safe to have unlocked windows in a neighborhood that seems sketchy.

House is nice, clean, well equipped. fenced yard, covered parking are huge plusses. issues are, stairs to main bedroom are very steep, a/c thermostat is wonky, woke up every morning at 4:00 am freezing. had thermostat set at 73 but it changed on its own to 66 every morning and vent in upstairs bedroom blows right into your face when in bed. had to go downstairs at 4:00 to reset. other issue was internet was intermittent, could not watch tv at night or in the morning

Our stay was great! Beds very comfy. Literally steps to beach. Will definately stay again

Sister and I took our kids to Galveston because one of the kids wanted to go to the beach for her bday. The house was perfect, the location was perfect.
