Walk to Beach, Downtown! Spa & Private Deck

The best thing about this house is the great location. We parked our car when we got there and didn't use it until we left. The walkability was fantastic.

This was a perfect stay. The home is cute, in a historical district that makes it even more interesting. The outdoor fireplace was so much fun to sit around after a long day of activities. The hot tub helped sooth some sore muscles. And the location was perfect, close to walking trails along the shore and close enough to walk to dinner at night. Communication with owner was timely and she was very helpful We Loved this stay!!!

Convenient spot next to the down down area, easy to walk to the beach and restaurants. Cute and clean place with a nice patio and fire pit. Would definitely stay there again!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house was immaculate from top to bottom—spotless and thoughtfully maintained, which made us feel right at home the moment we walked in. The upgrades were top-notch, from the modern kitchen appliances to the luxurious bathrooms and comfortable furnishings; everything felt fresh and high-quality.

The host was very welcoming! Solved everything for us quick! The hairdryer was broke and they got quickly delivered a new one! Everything was well marked in the house on how to use it and the amenities were superb!

Perfect location, adorable home, and for those who enjoy cooking it is beyond well appointed. We loved being able to walk everywhere from the beach to downtown Pacific Grove and even to Cannery Row in Monterey. A

Everything was excellent.

The host was very welcoming and texted us prior to check on our arrival time. Very quick to answer a quick question about the backyard lights. Very clean and comfortable with fantastic amenities and coffee making supplies. We loved the upstairs loft. It’s a spectacular location with everything you would ever want right out the front door. Will be back!

The home was beautiful and in a great historic quiet neighborhood close to walk to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. Home was clean, well stocked if you wanted to cook, and we also appreciated having coffee beans, pods, and cream and sugar. We slept in comfortable beds with greatest Temperpedic pillows in the world. Host and home manager were responsive. We really enjoyed our retreat and look forward to returning.

Our first stay in this house was 13 years ago, when we visited PG for a month. Everything about the house is terrific. Very cozy and fully equipped. The back porch and fireplace make every evening an event. The location, though, can not be beat if you like to park your car and walk to everything PG and Monterey have to offer. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is an ideal location! Perfect for walking or biking all around. Walk to restaurants and even the aquarium and beach! Kitchen amenities were great- grill, spices, etc…. Hot tub, fireplace, and outdoor dining were great.

Enjoyed an exquisite stay at Margaret's impeccable home in the 'Retreat'. House was exceptionally clean, super comfy, had abundant natural light and all the modern conveniences you could wish for. My best friend and I celebrated many years of our friendship by exploring Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel, Pt. Lobos and the never ending beauty of the area. We loved being able to walk a block to a wonderful walk path along the beach and coastline, and a block in the other direction to the shops and restaurants lining the downtown area. It was sublime. The owner Margaret and house manager Frank were easy to reach if needed. In every way possible, this was the perfect house in the perfect location ... and quite honestly one I can't wait to return to again.

Many eateries, shops, two blocks from the ocean. Clean, updated, all the kitchen extras you can need. Host Margaret replied within minutes of our questions. We would stay here again!

Margaret's property was exactly as described. Super clean, had great amenities and so close to everything you want to walk to in Pacific Grove. We parked the car and never got back into it for a couple of days. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, modern interior with exterior charm. Two blocks away from Lover’s Point park and the amazing walking paths, the location could not be better. Monterey, Carmel, and Point Lobos wonderfully convenient. Houses are close together, but noise was never an issue…except for the occasional gathering of seagulls, which always brought a smile. Margaret, the owner, was so responsive and helpful with recommendations about everything from whale watching to dinner. We followed her suggestions and highly recommend doing the same. Laundry and a fully equipped kitchen with a drip coffee maker made the day to day so easy. If she will have us, my husband and I can’t wait to come back :).

Great location, fun place to stay for families, very kind and responsive host. There were some things that needed repair, but it was overall a lovely and well-appointed home. We enjoyed the backyard amenities, our boys loved the loft living room, and we walked or biked to most things for the duration of our stay.

My daughter was attending a soccer camp at Stevenson School, and in the meantime we stayed at this wonderful, cute house. It is a perfect place to stay. It is walking distance to Lovers' Point, Mondays Farmers Market, the Monterey Aquarium, Fisherman Wharf, a lot of restaurants, and all the beautiful trails around. You can rent an e-bike and explore the town. Besides that, it is a very comfortable, cute, place to stay. PLUS it has washer and dryer, which it is super convenient when going on vacation.

Great house for our family of 4 with a toddler and infant. The location was perfect, right in town, walking distance to food, groceries, shops, the beach, and we even walked along the beach trail to the aquarium! Would definitely stay again!

We were in love with this house that is perfectly located close to the beach in PG. The check in process and communication with the host was easy and quick to respond. The house features were exactly as listed and met our expectations. We cannot wait to be back with another couple and also do a getaway with our kids. You should not look anywhere else and book this beautiful bungalow.

Overall great place in an optimal location. Only fix I would add is to update cookware. Super outdated and Teflon coming off what was already limited cookware.

Enjoyed having everything so close to the main street. Coffee shop's down the street and going for a bike ride first thing in the morning was just peaceful.

We love this house and have stayed twice. It’s remodeled nicely, walking distance to the beach and downtown shopping. Kitchen is large and fully stocked. We also enjoy the back patio grill, fireplace & jacuzzi. We will definitely stay here again!

This is our third time staying in PG and our second time at this lovely and well-appointed house. The location is great - just a few blocks from Lovers Point and walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Also close to the wonderful Bookworks in downtown PG (coffee, pastries and books under one roof). The hot tub is a favorite for our kids. And we love how quiet the area is around the property.

The house was a great home base to explore Monterey/Carmel with the family (kids 7 and 4). Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Hot tub and steam shower were a big hit!

The house was in such a great location! It was an easy walk down to Lovers Point, and very close to lots of shops and restaurants. The house itself is very cute and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Margaret was a fantastic host! She quickly answered any questions we had and made us feel welcome. We were even able to check-in (which could not be easier) a little early, and extended our stay by a night. Would definitely stay here again!

We LOVED staying in Margaret’s place in Pacific Grove. It’s in the most perfect location really close to lots of shops and restaurants, a block from the beach and a block from a park. We stayed there with friends and our kids and it was the perfect cozy spot for our families. Communicating with Margaret and the property manager was also seamless. They were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and we can’t wait to come back!

If you’re looking for a comfortable home for 2-4 people near restaurants and the beach, this place is for you. There are 2 bedrooms with double beds. One has an en-suite bathroom. There is another centrally located bathroom with a walk-in shower that doubles as a delightful steam room. The home has a spacious floor plan with a living room kitchen space. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two outdoor spaces- one off the kitchen with a hot tub and the other upstairs off a second very spacious living room. The home is in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and the beach. It’s an easy driving distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We hope to come back and stay here again.

Perfect house for getting together with friends or family. The living area and upstairs loft were perfect for fun conversations and watching TV. The deck is great- it was too cold to use much but I can imagine the grill and hot tub are great during warm months.

Visited for a quick trip and a little golf. The home was perfect! Everything you need. Relaxing back patio and the hot tub was great. Highly recommend.

We spent three nights in this beautiful home. Very clean, incredibly well equipped kitchen, fireplace in the living room and outside, perfect hot tub. Great location, walked to the beach and downtown. 10” from pacific grove muni, 15” from Poppy Hills, perfect location for golfers. The hostess, Margaret was very welcoming, good communication. There is a room at the top of the spiral staircase, reminded me of a tree house, spent the mornings reading upstairs. Amazing lighting, everything had dimmers, so easy to adjust the brightness. Lots of skylights, the home is open and cheery. Cannot wait to return!!

Wonderful experience at this property! It’s close to the beach, clean and comfortable! On a nice quiet street with restaurants walking distance. Can’t beat the location near Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, etc. Would definitely recommend staying here again!

We stayed with our two children for two nights. The house was so cute and well equipped. I loved the back patio and especially appreciated the upstairs living room which allowed the kids to have their space and adults to converse downstairs. Would definitely recommend to others.

This home is perfect if you want to be close to “it all” but want peace in the evenings and mornings. We were able to walk/bike just about everywhere we wanted to go. We did drive to Point Lobos as that was a bit outside of our biking range, but this was the perfect location for what my wife and I wanted to do on our anniversary getaway!

House was very clean and comfortable. Appreciated the edgy post modern architecture. Even in winter the outside space , the barbecue and hot tub, were usable. We loved the big tvs and the upstairs space with its balcony. Loved the steam shower. Some small things; the light switches are a challenge, the laundry needs servicing, we couldn’t get the French Press to work and it would have been nice to have some Keurig pods for the machine ready for at least one night. We found the mattress in the front bedroom hard and low. Otherwise, it was a delight to be there and we would love to come back.

The property is about a 2 block walk to Lover's Point and 2 blocks to the main strip of stores in Pacific Grove, so a great location. Quiet street with many historic homes, this one is from 1906 (I think). It has been modernized with a nice soaring ceiling in the main living space, a lovely loft sitting area with a fireplace, skylights and a very functional layout! Fun backyard deck with a gas fireplace, chairs and a small hot tub perfect for 2 people. The living space also has a fireplace so lots of cozy options if you are coming during cooler weather. Lots of light with skylights and loft windows that the afternoon sun streams in through. We loved the house and would definitely come back! 2 bedrooms, one with an en suite bath and the other front bedroom has access to a bathroom with a steam shower that is on the hall. A well stocked kitchen though we didn't do much cooking. The property manager keeps on top of things and there were ample towels for hot tubbing and I noticed beach chairs and cooler as well as a rolling cart.

Perfectly located for easy walks to beach, walking path, restaurants, shops, museums, butterfly sanctuary and farmers market on Monday afternoon. Easy parking on street and comfie place!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this house. The Location was amazing. The house was lovely, and clean, inside and out. It had everything we needed plus more. We seeked for a peaceful getaway and that's exactly what we got! We look forward coming back to this place for a longer stay.

My family and I traveled to Pacific Grove for a wedding. This unit is in the best location to downtown and the beach. Everything was perfect and clean. We loved the patio, balconies, and steam shower :). We would recommend staying here!

Couldn’t have picked a more perfect location! The cottage suited four adults well with great amenities for cooking and relaxing. Check-in and communication were great and the place was very clean, even for our extremely picky mother. Would rent again.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful! The house was quiet, clean, and comfortable. It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants as well as a bike trail. Margaret was a responsive host and we had a seamless time checking in and out of the house. I’d definitely recommend this space!

We had a great time at this cute house. The location was perfect and it was great to be a block down from the classic car show on Lighthouse Ave.

We just had the most incredible 4 nights in Pacific Grove!! We never visited the area before. This was the perfect house and the perfect location! We could walk to Lover's Point and see otters!!! We could also walk to a bunch of restaurants. It was very convenient! We loved the house! It fit our family of 4 perfectly. We especially loved the outdoor space and took advantage of the hot tub to soothe our tired muscles after a lot of hiking. Sitting outside was very peaceful. We are from the northeast so a little chill in the air doesn't stop us from sitting outside. We loved how many fireplaces the house had! So cozy!. The kitchen was great. We did cook one night. Really it was just reheating food but I'll count it because it was vacation. We loved the kitchen eating area, it was perfect for breakfast every morning. My boys really loved the loft area and top deck. It was pretty foggy when we visited but it was still really fun to be up there. It was so easy to hop an uber to Cannery Row and use the free trolley down in Monterey. We also went for a drive down Route 1 to Big Sur one day, it was amazing. We did the 17 mile drive too. Definitely do a kayak tour while you are visiting and see those otters up close! We have to come back, we all agreed this was the highlight of our Cali trip!

We walked in with our toddler and were very happy with our choice of rental immediately!! The home is spacious and well-equipped with all we needed for a stay away from home. Everything was clean and appliances all worked. The location near so many restaurants and things to do was incredible. We appreciated the host's speed of communication and connecting us ahead of time with the on-site property manager!
