Stayed Mar 20, 2026Since my review keeps getting denied I will have to put this very nicely . Stay somewhere else . The home is NOT equipped to sleep 6 people . I do not trust the host as far as the said “damage” report after my stay . Terrible experience. Unfinished floors are dangerous with bare feet . I was scolded for leaving crumbs in the sink … At night you can hear rodents chewing at the floors and walls . Hotel is worth the extra , definitely! Literally anywhere else .

Stayed Jun 19, 2025The place was dusty! There was no ice, only 2 pods of coffee, only two small creams, only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper for a family of 4. No extra rolls of toilet paper were had. We asked for another roll of toilet paper and it never came. He said he would bring a roll and it never came. The outdoor facade of the house is in desperate need of paint! If there was rain the driveway there would have been a muddy mess and would have been tracked into the house. The outside stairs to house are steep. Railings are needed! The bathtub was slippery and lacked hand supports. Online communication with owner was difficult. This place needs reevaluated by VBRO.

Stayed Feb 4, 2025The Hemlock House was perfect for our stay. This is the second time we've stayed there, and will again the future. Wes' instructions were clear and easy to follow and he responded to my communications immediately. As advertised and as others have mentioned, it is not a fancy place but is clean and comfortable. In other words, everything we needed for our ski trip to ABR. Thanks again Wes!
