Everything about the home was nice

Standard amenities (shampoo, body wash, cleaning wipes etc.) not provided. 2nd oven did not work. Kitchen utensils, pots/pans very unorganized. Living room couches are not connected, they move apart when sitting on them. Pillows on the dining bench were unsafe for kids. Musty smell in the main area when entering home.

The cabin was an excellent choice for our large family gathering. Hard to find a place with this many bedrooms, all of which were clean and ready. The huge dining table was great to be able to have the whole family sit together. The view from the hot tub is incredible. We also used the beach access which has a great park for the kids. It appears that most of the bathrooms have recently been updated and there's ongoing work to update other parts of the property. Mike was easy to get a hold of for the minor issues that did arise.

The house was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped, although at this price point I would have expected a few more upgrades, such as a higher-end coffee maker and some additional appliances. A couple of items weren’t working properly (one oven was out and the refrigerator in the kitchen kept shutting off, though there was an extra fridge available in the garage).The bedrooms were comfortable, but the beds were quite large for the size of the rooms, which made it a bit hard to move around. Bathrooms were nice and very clean, but it would have been great to have basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, and tissue boxes included.On the positive side, the jacuzzi was wonderful, the barbecue worked perfectly, and the view was absolutely stunning—truly worth a million dollars.Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay!

Nice large space for family reunion & 70 th birthday celebration. Great location, stunning views of Lake Tahoe. Kitchen well stocked. The house needs a little TLC and extra maintenance.Overall we had a wonderful time here.

This was our 3rd time returning to the property and as always, were very pleased with our entire stay. We also really liked the upgrades since our last stay (the giant family couch with recliners were so comfy!). Mike has been a very responsive and accommodating host - we had a few hiccups which were resolved swiftly and professionally. Thank you again for having us and hope to stay again soon!

Great space with very well stocked kitchen. The view from the deck is incredible. Easy private beach access that is really lovely. Would stay again.

What a wonderful house! Every year our extended family rents a house in Tahoe together and the layout and location of the house was probably the best yet! The rooms are all pretty much the same so nobody is getting a “nicer room” lol which makes it easy to give everyone a room. The private beach was about a 5 minute drive and it was so nice to not fight the Tahoe crowds. Mike was super responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We have had a week-long family reunion annually for about 30 years, and after a couple of decades away we returned to Lake Tahoe, this time near Tahoe City instead of Donner/Truckee. This property held 24 of us, with 10 bedrooms, and a large deck with a beautiful view of the lake. We were able to get to pony rides and trail rides on horseback, raft the Truckee and do a zip line and ropes adventure (very close) without experiencing the terrible traffic in Tahoe City. We took a cruise on the Tahoe Gal. We drove to Sand Harbor for the Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. We saw at least 2 bears on different occasions, so it is good to be careful. Follow the owner’s instructions for the bear boxes. Everyone loved the facility and the location. I was told that it was the best reunion ever! I highly recommend this rental.

Our family of 16 really enjoyed the location of this house. Close enough to many activities as well as a nice hike right out the door. The views of the lake were amazing, especially in the morning with a cup of coffee. Deck was perfect to host dinners each night. The room accommodations fit our family perfect. Our kids and grandkids loved each of the activities we had made available, such as tram to High Camp of Olympic Village, boat to Emerald Bay, rafting, zip-lining, and Donner Lake for kayaking and swimming.

The intro when booking is very ,very misleading. This house is not WATERFRONT OR BEACH FRONT. You have beach access after a 30 min. walk or 5 min drive. You do have great views of Lake Tahoe.House was great, kitchen, living/family rooms, bedrooms were great. Ping Pong, Pool table area was great. Check in was a nightmare. Did not receive code until day off, after instructions said day before, I had to e-mail for the code. We were told by the host that we could check in at 2pm code did not work until 4pm. lock boxes did not work. instructions and pictured showed an awing, no remote control and it was put together. Received full instruction on how everything worked the day after we check in. including lock box and wifii instructions. Do not need lock box key to enter.With all that said our family's had a great time and I would book it again

Incredible setting and offered some privacy

If you are looking to stay with a large group of friends or family, this is a great property. The lake views from the living room(s), and balcony / hot tub were beautiful. Everyone got their own king sized bed, and there were three separate living areas to hang out in plus a giant kitchen and balconey. The host was responsive and accommodating. The location near was super convenient for skiing Palisades.

Great place for my friends and their families and mine for a killer long ski weekend. Michael was a great host and provided us all the info we needed. The view of Lake Tahoe was amazing.

Place is not too old and great space for pur group. We liked that it has a lot of utensils and cooking ware. Very close to a sledding and snowboarding resort. The beach access is too far from the place.

We had three families with six kids under three years old. It was the perfect house to allow the kids to play outside in the snow and had a good game room for all the kids to play. I recommend bringing a kids gate for the stairs since they are very steep. Overall, a good house for kids.

This was an amazing proporty with stunning views. The host, Mike was equally fantastic. Highly recommend staying here.

The owner was extremely helpful and communicative. The property is beautiful and able to accommodate large groups of people. We spent Christmas at this property and it was truly unforgettable.Would highly recommend!

Mike’s house was the perfect stay for our larger group. Close to Tahoe city, with an unbelievable view of the Lake. Enough room for us all the comfortably hang out on the deck or in the living room. And tons of bed space for us all to sleep perfect

The Good: The layout of the house was perfect for our group of 16. We loved the spacious kitchen, ample seating in the dining room and on the deck, and the incredible view of the lake. Being close to hiking trails was a bonus, and the location is convenient, with shops, grocery store, and restaurants nearby. The Bad: The house could use some TLC. One sleeper sofa was broken, and the host said to place a couch cushion under the leg. Another sleeper sofa was horribly uncomfortable. A first-floor shower was held together with duct tape. Additionally, there are many steps in the house, which is challenging for anyone with mobility issues. About 10 days before arrival, the host reached out, saying he needed my signed contract, credit card and drivers license. This was not in the listing. The Ugly: The house is not air-conditioned. There is one portable unit in the living room/kitchen, but it was insufficient to cool the entire house and didn’t blow cold air. The host provided additional fans, but they only circulated hot air. The lower level, which the host claimed would stay cool, was also hot. While the layout is great for a large group, the listing is misleading. It is not a lakefront/beachfront house; it’s a 5-minute drive to the beach. Furthermore, the house is not fully air-conditioned, and the air conditioner in the one air-conditioned room didn’t work. He hired a handyman who came out and said the air conditioner was broken, but the host refuses to believe this.

The house was big enough for our large family reunion to accommodate all comfortably with lots of space when needed. The billiard table and ping pong table provided fun and entertainment. It happened to be unusually hot during our stay for Lake Tahoe and the little AC unit was challenged but we spent most of our time during the day exploring the surrounding area and usually would not be a problem under normal conditions. A few issues came up that needed addressing, however the host Michael made him self available for all my calls and addressed each issue which should not be an issue going forward, as it was taken care of. All in all I am very appreciative of Michael being a responsible host and providing such a beautiful setting for our family to become reacquainted with each other, share meals together and have interesting conversations around the large table inside and outside. All in all I recommend the house for large groups.
