VILLA SAL - Ocean front Villa with terrace

This place was wonderful. The location wasPerfect for exploring Sao Miguel and within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops and stores in Lagoa. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the waves...could here them while sleeping.Stayed 8 nights! Could even here them

A friend and I stayed here for nearly a week for a girls’ trip, and found everything perfect! The apartment looked exactly like the pictures and was in a great location right by the marina. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Sao Miguel.

This is a beautiful apartment over looking the water. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. It was so clean and had everything anyone would need. There is a huge window in the bedroom with a built in seat for watching the fishing boats come in and out, my favorite spot.. I will definitely be coming back. Mario even allowed us to extend our checkout.

This Villa is extremely comfortable, with plenty of space, A/C, great shower, & well stocked kitchen, and beautifully decorated. The villa is across the street from the fishing port, with expansive water views from the windows upstairs. There are municipal swimming pools (ocean pools) 1 block away. Mário is a great host. We never met him in person but he was extremely responsive to our messages about anything, including for restaurant recommendations. Loved our stay here!

Location was perfect with it being off the beaten path of the city. Plenty to do with the salt water pools right down the way and a great restaurant on the corner at the bottom of the hill. Sea views were tremendous and the hosts with spectacular. Very attentive to questions and guidance and their property truly was impeccable. Clean and attractive. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars not 5. Thank you for a wonderful get-away!

I chose Villa Sal as I wanted a sea view and it didn’t disappoint. The balcony was just perfect overlooking the ocean. The Villa is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for the perfect holiday. Location was good with plenty to see in the local area but also a good central location for trips around the island (hire car recommended). Recommend the path along the sea front towards Ponta Delgada. We had several delicious meals at Borda d’Agua restaurant, 2 mins walk down the hill. Villa owners were very attentive and keen to see us enjoy our stay. A wonderful holiday in the Azores.

Beautiful location by the ocean! Property is up on a bluff with a beautiful balcony. Short walk two popular ocean swim spot. Lots of natural pools. Two very popular restaurants nearby, one overlooks the ocean. Make reservations! Make friends with the captain at O’ Capitao and order fish rice and Azorean white wine. One of the best meals we had on the island. We highly suggest renting a car, some reviews say taxis can take you all over the island. A rental car is really needed! Highly suggest making your way to Ponta Delgado which is close to visit the farmers market. Great spot to stock up on local produce and seafood. There are great hikes nearby and thermal pools at Centro de Interpretação Ambiental da Caldeira Velha. Arrive early and plan on waiting online for up to two hours. Grab a cup of coffee it’s well worth the wait to swim in these Hot Springs! Only advice: laundry got a little complicated as it is a shared space and bathroom would benefit with a door instead of curtain. Looking forward to our return!!!!
