Villa Abejita in Playa Negra: Pool, AC, Walk to Beach, WiFi, Spacious, Private

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at this home! The house was welcoming, clean, well stocked and in a great location. A quick walk to the ocean, restaurants and a store. Shelly and Laurie were very accommodating, messaged to see how we were doing and had a lot of useful knowledge about the area, what to see and where to go! The pool and yard were beautiful! We 100% recommend this home for a family wanting to experience the Caribbean in this beautiful country!

Villa Abejita is as advertised; lush and beautiful yard with a refreshing pool; secure, spacious, and well appointed villa; short walks to the spectacular beach of Playa Negra, small grocery stores, and at least two great restaurants. It was an easy drive to Puerto Viejo, Cahuita National Park and other wonderful locations. Laurie and her local colleagues were very responsive, friendly and helpful. Five stars and two big thumbs up!

The property manager was helpful and responsive. The house was well taken care of and was accurately reflected in the photos.

The outdoors of this property is beautiful. Nice pool, great outdoor dining area and a stunning garden. The indoors needs some love. There is no dishwasher and all the plates and glasses are plastic so cleanliness is questionable. The furniture is very dated. We had rainy weather while we were there so we spent more time than we had hoped inside. The couch is so uncomfortable. There isn't really any good furniture for lounging.The place needed a bit more of a general clean. Very dusty and dirty under the beds and cobwebs in the ceilings. It smelled quite musty when we arrived.The area is lovely. Location of the property is great.

We felt so lucky to have this beautiful home to return to after a day at the beach or hiking! The outdoor shower is ingenious, pool was refreshing, and the yard is plant paradise. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning in the bedrooms was so wonderful at night. We loved spending time cooking outside and listening to the geckos at night. Great communication with the property management company as well. Would absolutely recommend!

We loved this house! The pool was perfect, we spent many hours just floating, drinking beer & watching the wildlife in the yard. So many birds & lizards. It was private, behind a wall, so we were able to listen to our music.Check in was good. We lost cell service so had a hard time getting the property management company, but they were very response once we got in contact.Everything worked. Kitchen was well furnished with everything needed to prep meals. Bed was comfortable and the a/c kept the room cool for sleeping. The beach was close, just an easy walk away. There is a market less than a block away for the essentials and a restaurant that has a great beach area to have drinks just around the corner. I could not imagine a more perfect place to stay, we would go back in a heartbeat.

Our family of six stayed here for a week. Here are some things that stand out: everything is better than the photos in person (no offense to whomever took the photos!). For example, the pool isn’t huge, but much bigger than it would appear in the photos the wrap around porch and spaciousness of the inside of the house really makes it feel like your own private resort, with enough space to spread out and not feel like you’re on top of each other the host is incredibly helpful and attentive very comfortable bedsHighly recommend!

Ok location. About a 40 minute walk to town. Loved the tuktuks. The home itself was ok. Very dark as it is very treed. Hl certainly

1st visit to Costa Rica and had a blast. Great home pool was beautiful, everything made us feel right at home.
