Victorian Modern, on the Mississippi River

We loved the location, with a beautiful shared dock and yard. It was right on s street with restaurants, bars, parks, and walking/ biking trails. Inside the home and yard, you are surrounded by trees and nature, we couldn't hear any traffic, just birds.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Everything was exactly as depicted in the photos. Communication and check in were very easy. Make sure to park on the street instead of in the driveway. There was lots of available free street parking nearby.

What a nice property! The view of the river was great, the house has all kinds of cool art decorations. The beds were very comfortable. It was a great weekend being near everything. Loved the bar called The Sample Room.

Very unique home and location. Great view of the River, walkable to restaurants, coffee and night life. Parking is tight so park on the road. Internet works but you will need to bring your own streaming device. We played games and enjoyed watching the birds out the back atrium.

We were more than comfortable when lounging and the kitchen had everything we needed when cooking. There were clear instructions where to place recyclables and garbage, plus compost! We loved our stay.

Host was very accommodating, letting us drop our luggage off before check-in. Amenities were comfortable.

This was our second stay here - the first was our wedding weekend and this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was as comfortable and charming as it was the last time we came! The atrium windows and the array of music selections to play over the surround sound system make for a relaxing time here. The soft snow looked beautiful out the large windows facing the river. It’s such a cozy gem in the midst of the city! We can’t wait to spend more anniversaries here to come! We even brought our newborn baby with and it was a breeze!

Home is beautiful & peaceful.. maybe it my fault for this being new to home rentals, but A few of us struggled with dander in the home due to allergies ( we all went home with animal hair on our clothing or just not being able to avoid it from the couch.) Phillip whom is very kind & Super helpful, which makes this hard to say but we were taken back from the dog being walked in the back of the house where we enter and exit the home also where the home is is open more. Nothing but windows 100% of the back of house and we felt like we should have been able to stay in our PJs but after Phillip and dog being there we needed to dress. Didn’t really feel like we had privacy in the early morning. We also didn’t feel comfortable with being able to just go out side the house without making sure the dog was not outside. 1 of the guest had a run in with the dog one of the afternoons when coming back from her vehicle. Respect that people have dogs but I feel you should keep your dog to yourself and not expect people that’

This is the best VRBO in Minneapolis. They actually care about the decor and the environment feels cared for. My #1 choice.

Family in town for a wedding. Perfect location for views, food, coffee and to easily get around the city. The place was clean, sunny and beautiful.

I’ve been staying VRBO properties every year for last 20 years, and this has to be the worst property we’ve ever stayed at. DO NOT book this property. Almost nothing has been done to this property in decades. Most outlets didn’t work, dirty floors with food still in refrigerator. Internet not working, and no tv (no cable or signal). Property in inner city in a bad neighborhood. Once you’re there, there’s no turning back. They got your money. I’ve never felt so ripped off. VRBO should not accept this property as a listing.

Very nice setting and neighborhood. Generally a good stay except a maintenance issue with the bathroom sink hot water faucet that was hard to use.

We really enjoyed the space. It was perfect for hosting meals with local family while also providing a quiet refuge for the visitors. The riverside location was a big plus. Would definitely stay there again!

This home is absolutely stunning, and Isabelle was a fantastic host! We stayed here the night before and night of our wedding and hosted our wedding party and family for an informal rehearsal dinner, and Isabelle and her husband were so lovely and accommodating. The space is gorgeous, they have a great little history lesson about the home for you when you check in, and there's an ADORABLE dog on the property that came and said hi to us while we were on the patio/yard. All of our out of state friends were absolutely delighted with the access to the Mississippi. The records and sound system made it easy for us to put on background music, and the atrium windows were perfect for getting ready pictures. My wife and I are already talking about another stay just the two of us for an anniversary.

Beautiful space, so comfortable and cozy, lots of light and it was peaceful and easy to stay there. Easy to get around the cities. The space is well situated and perfect for visiting, lounging, slow starts. The hosts were gracious, unobtrusive, availavble and friendly. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

A nice place on the river that has a cool MCM vibe. One bedroom is upstairs and the staircase needs to be navigated with some care, but we had no issues. Friendly hosts. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to reserve again.

This is a gorgeously designed place. So thoughtfully laid out. Our host was so helpful. Will be back!

The house is an older home in need of some updates and maintenance. The interior is charming but there is some artwork on the walls that is inappropriate for younger children. The location is a short walk to a bread shop, coffee and brew pub. We also walked our dog on a path along the river which was great. Guests are asked to park on the “safe” street. The neighborhood may be low crime, but there is a lot of traffic going 45 mph including semi trucks out front. There are plenty of spaces in the back to accommodate the VRBO guests and the upstairs renters but they are filled with old/unused vehicles (incl. a boat). The owner needs to decide what the purpose of this house is going to be, a place for guests or a place to store their possessions. It should not be both!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for our weekend plans, perfect spot if you're planning on going to a show at The Fillmore. It was refreshing to have a space so homey and lived in where we could make outselves right at home. We hope to visit again soon!

Never actually made it to the property, so this is about my experience with the host. Had to cancel my reservation on the day of check in due to a death of an immediate family member and the host refused to provide a refund. I had to fight for a days for even a partial refund. Was just referred to their cancellation policy. Said she would “see what she could do,” which is literally anything she wants as any refunds/cancellations are at the discretion of the host per VRBO policy. I only received a partial refund, or even a response, after I contacted VRBO support.I can understand this is a business, but life happens and she couldn’t even be bothered to treat me like a human being.

Lovely time with a couple good friends in this unique home with a relaxing vibe. Plenty of room for our needs, enjoyed viewing the art and decor in each space. Hosts are easygoing and friendly. Great location in NE. Looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the yard and river!

My (now) husband and I stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The house is adorable and well taken care of. We loved the built in stereo system to play old records and CDs throughout the house. The view of the river was beautiful! I got ready for the wedding here and the lighting and space were so great to have a few people around. We are hoping to spend anniversaries here in the future! Big bonus was meeting the owners and their sweet dog, Poe. They were super kind humans and left us a celebratory bottle of wine for our wedding!

We rented this location for a Thanksgiving gathering with our family that lives in the area, and we couldn’t have asked for a better space. The kitchen was well-equipped for our purposes, there was plenty of space for activities, and the three bedrooms were all more than cozy enough. We will keep this spot in mind if we ever return to the Twin Cities for something similar in the future.

We had a such great time. The location was perfect for getting to events at U of M. Very comfortable beds. Loved the fireplace, the light, the view. Decor was so thoughtful and hip. It was fun to be in the space. We invited friends for dinner because we wanted to spend more time there rather than go out. Thank you for a great stay!

The owners shared many of their personal items (books, games, art, etc.) that made the stay even more comfortable. The beds were great. The area very interesting and near the venue where we attended a wedding.

We were in town to visit my daughter who attends the U. Enjoyed our stay!

This was exactly what we were looking for to cozily spend a few days. We enjoyed being by the water, walking distance from artist studios and galleries, and walking trails along the river. Having a fireplace for the fire crisp fall evenings was a highlight, and we were pleased with the kitchen amenities as we enjoy cooking.

Traveled with our young adult children to Minneapolis for a wedding. Very unique VRBO! Walking distance to several restaurants. 3rd bedroom upstairs in dormer was a little warm and may be a no go for some in hot summer months - since rest of home is cooled with window AC, our son chose to sleep on futon on main level. Owner found a set of AirPods we left behind, messaged immediately, and returned promptly which was very kind.

We loved staying at this property. It has such a cool and unique history. It was very chill and comfortable and a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of life. Everything about it was stellar. Isabelle and Phillip were great hosts. We will definitely stay her again.

Fantastic place to stay. The house was spacious and comfortable for 5 adults, including 1 in a wheelchair. With a short ramp, the space is wheelchair accessible if you don't need an accessible bathroom. The backyard was peaceful and beautiful, with a great view of the river. The hosts and their dog Poe were wonderful and responsive. We look forward to staying here again when visiting family.

A group of us came to the Twin Cities for a two day show. The location was close to downtown and the venue. It was super easy to navigate. Great local restaurants. Isabelle & Phillip were great hosts. Their place was amazing with the decor and it was right on the river. The place was beautiful.

It was a very nice stay, and we enjoyed the views and fireplace.

One of a kind rental in a great location close to downtown.

We loved the view from the river at night of the Minneapolis skyline and the Lowrey Bridge. However, we were not aware that the houseboat that is moored at the dock was being rented out so when there were guests on board, we were not comfortable intruding on their time to use the dock to enjoy the sunset and fish even though the hosts said we could. Out of 8 nights, we only got to enjoy the dock 3 times. The location was nice - close to small parks and restaurants. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to any requests. They stay upstairs while we rented the 1st floor so they were around a lot as they lived there as well. The parking was on the street which was a bit busier that we expected and sometimes we had to park a few houses down the street. Overall the house was spacious and had a great view of the river.
