Drop your bags at the carved newel post and listen — eleven-foot ceilings, an 1800s staircase, and twelve of your favorite people already arguing over foosball in the sun room. Coffee is brewing. Nobody is driving anywhere. The Riviera beachfront is three blocks down Cook Street and downtown is closer still. This is the Lake Geneva weekend where the logistics disappear and the only decision left is who's cooking.

ABOUT THIS SPACE

Historic Dodge Lodge is a fully remodeled Victorian on the edge of Lake Geneva's Maple Park district — original bones, brand-new everything else. Five bedrooms, six beds, room for twelve, and enough separate rooms that your group can be together without being on top of each other. You come in through the original double doors into a foyer with a carved staircase that has held this house up since the 1800s, under eleven-foot ceilings.

THE GAME ROOM. Two classic arcade cabinets on free play, a full-size foosball table and a shelf of board games, in a sun room with windows on three sides. Nobody leaves voluntarily.

THE MAIN FLOOR. A sectional under a wide bay window, a second sitting room with a wall TV behind glass French doors, and a dining room under a brass chandelier with one long table seating ten. Open the doors and the floor becomes one room; close them and the movie crowd and the card crowd stop competing.

THE KITCHEN. A full-size gas range, French-door refrigerator, stainless Kohler farmhouse sink, dishwasher, and counter on both sides so two people can cook at once. The coffee bar runs a Ratio 6 drip brewer, a pour-over cone and four syrups.

UPSTAIRS. A second kitchen — butcher block counter, gas range, sink, dishwasher, Keurig — so early risers eat without waking the main floor, plus its own washer and dryer and a walk-in shower.

WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP. Two kings and four queens across five bedrooms, weighted blankets on the king rooms, ceiling fans in most, TVs in two — plus a getting-ready room with vanity stations under a full wall of windows, the room reviewers name by name.

Bathrooms: 3 Full bathrooms, two walk in showers and one shower over tub. 2 bathrooms on the lower level, one on the upper level

Air conditioning: Central AC, dual zone for upstairs and downstairs

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY

You are in the Maple Park historic district, one street off the pace of downtown and close enough to walk to nearly everything.

- Downtown shops, coffee and dinner on Broad and Main — 5 to 10 minutes
- Geneva Lake Shore Path, the 21-mile footpath around the lake
- Lake Geneva Cruise Line and the U.S. Mailboat pier — about 6 minutes

SHORT DRIVES
- Big Foot Beach State Park — about 5 minutes
- Grand Geneva Resort, Mountain Top skiing and tubing — about 10 minutes

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

THE BACHELORETTE OR GIRLS' WEEKEND. Everyone gets a real bed, the getting-ready room means nobody does makeup on a bathroom counter, and you walk to dinner and home.

THE MULTI-GENERATIONAL FAMILY. Grandparents skip the stairs, the kids claim the arcade, and two living rooms mean the nap and the football game happen at once.

TWO FAMILIES TRAVELING TOGETHER. Two kitchens, two living rooms, two laundry setups — share a weekend, still get a quiet morning.

THE MILESTONE BIRTHDAY OR REUNION. One long table, a game room, and a rear patio with a trellis, swinging chairs, a fire pit and a grill.

THE OFF-SEASON GROUP. A dedicated workspace, fast Wi-Fi, and a downtown better in February than anyone expects.

Perfect location, shops nearby, old home with charm.... first floor bathroom was a Jack and Jill bathroom for two bedrooms, so not easily accessible from the third bedroom or other common areas. Bathrooms have been renovated and were very nice. Two kitchens, downstairs equipped with everything you need. Bjorn was a very responsive host. Overall a great place for a girls weekend!!

We had such a terrific time here! The property is super walkable, close to downtown and all the cute shope. We had 10 women staying here and it was perfect. The property is super clean, bright, and spacious. Bjorn was super responsive as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Bjorn was very easy to communicate with and always had prompt responses. The house was plenty of room to accommodate a group of 10 girls though bathroom and mirror space was somewhat limited when trying to get ready all at the same time. Overall a great stay. Would recommend!

Had our annual golf trip and Lake Geneva and couldn't have asked for a better house or location. Easy to get to courses, as well as the downtown area for dinner and exploring.

Four senior sisters stayed for three days and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful house and the neighborhood. So close to the lake and downtown. We were sorry we hadn’t booked a longer stay.
