Vicky's Place downtown close to Pearl Brewery, and Riverwalk

We just stayed one night, but it is close to the Museum Reach section of the Riverwalk. This is the nice area away from the “party zone”. It is walkable to Pete’s for breakfast, and to Elsewhere, formerly The Luxury. Also close to Bourbon Street for good seafood, or Ochos at Havana Hotel for small plates. Highly recommend stopping at the VFW Post 76 for a beverage and going to SA Museum of Art. We will definitely be back. The house is cute and affordable. I have stayed at all the hotels in this area and will definitely go back to Vicky’s Place when I go to San Antonio for fun times.

Eclectic interior

This property is an excellent property for a stay in San Antonio. It is a beautifully restored downstairs flat. Bedrooms are large and each has its own bathroom. The kitchen is also ample sized and well appointed with updated appliances. We came in late June so it’s worth noting the HVAC system is excellent. You will need to empty the dehumidifier. It is located close to I 35 which made it very easy to get to JBSA. It is only a couple of blocks from the Riverwalk. It is a number of blocks further to the busy part of the Riverwalk. Roundtrip Ubers to downtown were about 20 which is cheaper than parking. I you enjoy a nice bar I would recommend the rooftop bar at the Thompson. The name of the bar I believe is called Moon’s daughters. It is a fairly short walk from the unit. That same evening we also walked further on to 505 which is another rooftop bar. I found the host quite accommodating, and I would recommend this unit if you like to have a little more space and flexibility, than a hotel room.

Post information is accurate, owner will respond promptly, clean interior, spacious rooms, check in/out were very convenient and close to SA downtown’s festivities.

Immediately upon entering the home, a musty smell was noted. The homeowner was contacted and we were advised to make sure we emptied the dehumidifier daily and the concern was dismissed. By day three, both my daughter and I had a flair of our allergies and asthma and had to leave the property early or go to the med center. The homeowner was called and they offered no assistance. Upon arrival home, we contacted vrbo and did a three way call with the homeowner. She was yelling at us the entire call, insulting, incredibly rude and despite pics of mold she dismissed this as dust. I insisted the call be ended. vrbo was good enough to refund the days we did not stay there. Stay away!

It’s a bit further from the Riverwalk than we thought. It’s very dark at night walking from the Riverwalk to the house. It was easier to Uber although we would have preferred to walk. Cute house and furnished with the necessary items, coffee, paper goods, soap, detergent. I would not let it discourage me from booking this place however, there were almonds on the floor in the living room and barrettes on the floor in the bedroom. Perhaps a word wirh the cleaning crew would remedy that. The television in the living room was finicky and frustrating to operate. But, we didn’t go to watch tv. Just something we noticed. Did not have any communication with the owner while there. Overall, the positives outweighed and we were pleased.

The host was readily available when we had a couple of questions. The check in process went without a hitch. Kitchen was stocked with anything we could need. We had an opportunity to use both the AC and furnace and both worked well. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The access to the river walk was nearby, we walked to various destinations and drove to some. We dined at two of her restaurant suggestions and were not disappointed with either one.

Very very clean accommodations. Fun decor. Nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom. Great location. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Wife and I stayed with some good friends and couldn’t have been more pleased. Property was very clean, homie and well decorated. Had all the necessary items that you would need and then some. Property was in a great location for walking or a short car trip to popular sights. Host was very good in being available when we needed her. Definitely would recommend and our first choice for next visit to San Antonio!

We loved staying at this house. It was very charming and perfect for our stay. We easily walked to the museums to the Riverwalk to the Alamo and several other places. The kitchen was well stocked for anything we needed and working with the host was very, very easy we would highly recommend this place if you’re coming to San Antonio.

The house was great and well stocked. Vicky takes care of everything for her guests! We really enjoyed the home and it was convenient to so many areas of San Antonio. Went to a local restaurant but missed the coffee shop across the park. Next time! Highly recommend!!

Lovely!! Eclectic and fun spot for a girl’s getaway. A great jumping off point for an evening at the Pearl and a show at Stable Hall. Comfortable and cozy home.

We would recommend Vicky’s place to anyone wanting to visit San Antonio. It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. This was our first trip to Texas and we were not accustom to the humidity! We were so happy the air conditioning and humidifier worked so well.

The location is too far to walk to Alamo Plaza & River Walk in hot weather! The furnishings are very comfortable and well decorated with lots of hand painted pieces. The kitchen could be better stocked if cooking is a priority. The neighborhood was very quiet. We would stay here again. The owner was very helpful and answered our inquiries promptly. ****

Cute rental, both cozy and clean. Older neighborhood away from the congestion of downtown. Short ride share to all the action in the heart of San Antonio.

We had a wonderful time staying at Vicky’s place for our conference at a nearby hotel. The place was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed! The location was perfect! Close to the Riverwalk and all the restaurants!

My wife, sister, brother in law and I spent 2 nights in San Antonio at Vicky’s Place. It was the perfect home base for our adventures. Many of the things we wanted to see were within walking distance. We loved all the artwork in the house and the living room and bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice to have separate bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Vicky’s Place.

It was obvious that the owner wanted to create a unique and charming space for her visitors. Her artwork was bold and colorful. The hand-painted furniture was quaint and each was one-of-a-kind. The kitchen was well-outfitted and the appliances worked well. However, there were some problems we encountered as an older couple. The bed in the front bedroom is lumpy and the person sleeping on the left side feels as if he will fall off! We tried sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed and that was no better. The closet in that bedroom is small and the pole to hang clothes on is so high and close to the top shelf that it is almost unusable. The bed in the back bedroom is more comfortable but the bathroom there is tiny. The front bathroom is larger but has a high step up into the bedroom. It is marked but still dangerous for someone older. The front door entry code worked well -- a plus. The rather bright lights on the front porch came on automatically at night making it impossible for the front bedroom to be dark despite the blinds being closed.Overall, the apartment is cute. If I were much younger, I probably would have enjoyed it more and not been bothered by the problems we encountered. The location is excellent.

This was our first time in San Antonio and we had a great time! Vicki‘s place was very comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was right next to all the cool downtown spots, easy to catch an Uber. And go to the Riverwalk, restaurants, and bars. We will definitely stay again

Cozy, well-appointed property. I appreciated all the simple instructions and the simple checkout. The kitchen and appliances were modern and new. Nice living room and dining area. Liked the TVs in each bedroom and living room. The private parking space off the street was a plus.

Vicky's Place ranks up there in the top spots of anyplace I've stayed since vacation rentals became a thing. It's so beautifully appointed and the location downtown is 10 out of 10. The off-street parking is safe and secure. Don't hesitate to book on your next trip to South Texas.
