Stayed Jul 13, 2025The property is very nice, good beach access and a very large home. However, we would never recommend this property which is such a shame. We went without hot water for 6 of 7 days. We called Tybee Rental multiple times per day, left voicemails, and never heard back from them until Friday and we left Saturday. So no hot water to shower after the beach, clearly a problem for a week at the beach. Also, we called because we could not find the remote control for the main TV, no reply. We called because the grill would not start and we were having a birthday cookout, no answer so plans cancelled. The complete lack of any property management was actually disturbing. We had to leave a voicemail saying if we didn't hear back, we would have to call the fire département because we were so concerned at getting no answer. This is the first we've ever experienced with a rental- no customer sevice support or property management for help.Lastly, upon checking in right on time. 4:00 PM, we met the cleaners and the property owner who literally exploded at us. So truly unkind and completely inappropriate. We were forced to sit in the rain for an extra 40 minutes when they said they needed 10, then left by a back door and never told us the property weas ready.Do yourself a huge favor, do noy rent this house and do not rent any house managed by Tybee Vacation Rentals. It was a terrible experience and ruined a family beach vacation we had planned for a full year.

Stayed Jun 1, 2024Van Horne Villa was the perfect house for our family reunion with cousins. This not so young group had a great time. The house has everything you could need or want. Easy access to the beautiful beach was fantastic and the large porch became everyone’s favorite place. Quiet neighborhood but ability to walk to many things. We can’t imagine a better place and are already planning to go back!

Stayed May 20, 2021Perfect house for family members of various ages to stay. Easy beach access is a must with children. Neighborhood was quiet. Excellent parking.
