Well appointed kitchen; spacious home, nice area of CT
Our extended family had a great get together at Soundview! We enjoyed the large open living space on the main level, especially the kitchen and dining room. So much storage area! One of our favorite parts of this vacation was the location of the house to the private beach and public access beach. The house sits on a quaint beach road and you feel like you are back in time here. No hustle or bustle, so relaxing. Also, a must visit town is Essex, just a short drive away. The host was great to communicate with, too!
This was our 6th year renting for a week. That should be enough to tell you how much we love staying here. This year featured some upgraded fixtures (induction cooktop, wine fridge, improved faucets). We have already booked for year 7!
This was our second year staying at this house. It's a perfect location right across from a private beach. The house is spacious and great for families and well stocked. Would love to come back in the future.
Have stayed several times and it perfect venue for us. Good location across from beach and near restaurants and grocery stores. Nice non-rocky beach.
My family and I have been renting on Groveway for over 15 years. This house is, by far, more spacious and accommodating than any of the other houses we've rented. It was very clean upon arrival. The house was well-stocked and provided everything we needed. The private beach was very relaxing, and the neighbors were lovely. It was a great week! We will be coming back next year!
We've stayed at this property for a summer beach vacation for the past 5 years and already booked again for next year. It is now a fixture in our kids' memories and is a great place to bring extended family as well. It is a great property with direct beach access, a well appointed kitchen, a bathroom for each bedroom, and comfortable beds. The central air is a great feature of this property and is hard to find in many properties with direct beach access. The neighborhood is nice as well, with friendly people all around and many walkers, bikers, and runners. One of the greatest natural features of staying here is the sandbar at the main beach (a 5-10 minute walk), which peaks out of the Sound at most low tides. Beachcombing is fun at low tide too, with rocks and driftwood to navigate making it enjoyable for kids. Numerous grocery, restaurants, and shopping options are within a 5 minute drive, but you still get the isolated feel of a beachfront community. In all, it's great for kids, parents, and grandparents.
Well stocked, open floor plan house just steps from the beach. Great for families. Host is very accessible. We’ve already reserved it again for next year!
Wonderful open floor plan but also with lots of private space. Very near a number of local restaurants and easy access to Boston Post Road. Loved our two week stay, Quiet neighborhood.
My family and I enjoyed our fifth year here. We will be back again next year.
