Stayed Aug 4, 2025The entire experience once booked was extremely positive. The house is well maintained with lots of character, open concept, and in a great location. The owner has provided plenty of information to ensure that you don't need to hunt around and all tastefully done. There were multiple check-ins before, once your stay has started, and after the stay ends. Highly recommend giving this property a stay.

Stayed Jun 18, 2024I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning lakehouse on Lake Oconee, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the lake and the serene surroundings. The house itself is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The spacious living areas are perfect for both relaxation and entertaining, with plenty of comfortable seating and large windows that let in natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and we loved enjoying our morning coffee on the dock short walk from the house. David, our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, providing clear instructions and making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, this lakehouse on Lake Oconee is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here!

Stayed May 3, 2024Loved the easy entry into the house. Warm welcome with American flag on front porch. We were greeted with a welcome chorus from the cicadas (our first time hearing them!) REALLY appreciated all the light switches being labeled!! Lotion to soothe my sunburn . Enjoyed the beautiful wooden swing in backyard. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful and calm. Communication with the owner was great! We enjoyed meals at The Rock Eagle 4-H center for their Sunday buffet and Silver Moon. The guys enjoyed at 4 hour fishing trip on the lake with Mark Smith at Reel Time Guide Services.

Stayed Apr 10, 2024The Urban Retreat is a great house at Great Waters. Always great to walk to a morning tee time across the 9th fairway. House has everything you need and perfect location. Very responsive to our “how to use one TV issue”. Overall a great property and great people to work with.
