Very disappointing. This is my 5th year staying here. In the past it has been great. This year we had mice and ants. The bathrooms had mold and the cold water faucet in the middle bath did not work. The carpets had huge stains and were nasty. Lots of water damage on the lampshades. The porch had several pickets that were broken. It presented a safety hazard. I will not stay here again.
Beach Castle location was wonderful. 2nd row with beautiful beach view. The unit was nice but I did have a few issues. Even after I asked questions for clarification, the washer/dryer are listed as private which I prefer, but when I arrived I find they are shared appliances with the other units and located on opposite corners of the building. The WI-FI network and password provided were incorrect. Luckily, someone had written the correct ones down on a paper on the buffet table. The track lighting in the kitchen only had one working bulb at the far end leaving the kitchen dark at night. We also discovered a mouse in one of the bedrooms which ran to the closet every time the door was opened. Vacasa offered to send an exterminator that day, but the young man staying in that room did not tell me about the mouse until late in the stay. Finally, in these times, keyless entry should be standard and we should not have to make an extra stop to check in at an office. The unit had a lockbox installed, but we could only get the code if it was an emergency. Why??? It would not take much to correct issues with this unit, clarify the amenities and improve the convenience for the renters.
