Kona Brewery is one of our personal favorites and is located nearby, just up the road from the entrance gate. A short walk on the sea wall you will discover an un-crowded, beautiful white sand beach with a shallow swimming lagoon. This place was everything we hoped for and more. From how nice the house was, to how close it was to the water, how close it was to the downtown area, yet secluded. This place was incredible. High end Miele appliances, accordion doors that open up pretty much the entire house so you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. This place was awesome and if we ever go back to Kona, we will absolutely be staying here again. Top notch!
The property is stunning, waking up on the water and hearing the ocean at night is amazing. Conveniently located near shops and stores. Our family had an amazing time here celebrating.
This is a lovely house in a great location. The view is great, the house is spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The pool is long and narrow and about 5 feet deep but very warm. We had a few issues with the wifi but Kona Coast Vacations was wonderful and promptly resolved the issue. Thankfully, no bugs and cleanliness was good ( a few dust bunnies under the beds though). The location is fabulous and is close to Kona town, the old airport beach (we surfed there), and lots of restaurants. In particular, I was really impressed with Kona Coast Vacations. They were always responsive and available and communication was excellent. I really felt they went out of their way to look after us. There are only 3 areas that I thought could use improvement. First, I think they need to offer more luxurious towels and better beach towels. Second, the poolside loungers are old. The wooden frames are hard and uncomfortable with thin cushions. Some of the frames are cracked and might fall apart. The carved wooden chairs around the pool are beautiful but not practical. I would suggest more comfortable and inviting seats to make the space more useable. Lastly, the pool would also have benefited from more frequent maintenance and chemical chlorine basket etc. Everything else was great and we really enjoyed. I wouldn't hesitate to rent with Kona Coast Vacations again. Thanks for a great experience! Mahalo
There were 9 of us that stayed at this house for two weeks. The pool was wonderful and the location was fantastic. Loved seeing the sunsets and coastline. The AC worked great and easy to adjust. The house was very clean, but the black tile made our feet dirty. Unfortunately, the Internet access was lacking and went out multiple times/day. The one TV w/ cable in the living room wasn't in a good spot for all of us to watch a movie (which we needed to do when we had too much sun). The rest of the TVs were for streaming only - which is hard when you have spotty internet. Also, there was construction on multiple lots. One was 2 houses down and it was very loud. Nothing we could do about it, but it didn't allow you to relax by the pool during the week. The sheets and the towels (including the beach ones) were very cheap. There weren't dressers in every room to unpack and we did have a few bugs get into the house (1 scorpion and roaches) - but I expected to see roaches. For the high cost of this house, we expected a little more, but we did have a good time.
Absolutely breathtaking! Such a beautiful home and view of the ocean! Our party of seven felt right at home. We would definitely stay at Kona Bay Estates again.
My entire family had a wonderful time the gated community is beautiful .Everyone had their own bathroom and privacy. Only small items are some tears in bar stool fabric and pool lights are not all functioning. This is not to detract from our great experience we will be returning again in the future.
Had a great time.
We had an amazing week! The home is gorgeous in an amazing location and was well stocked (kitchen, bathroom, beach supplies, etc). We had a small issue (dropped necklace down a drain!) and they sent someone right over to help fix (and get the necklace back!). Would love to go back and stay here again and would recommend to others!
Loved our stay!
The property had everything we needed for our group of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids ages 7,10,12). Plenty of room for everyone. Property location is perfect, awesome view and lot's to do near by. The pool is great and we used it everyday. We'd rent this property again for a large group. Other observations; at some point the property needs to undergo a deep clean. We pulled out the trundle bed under the bunk beds for one of the kids to sleep on and it was disgustingly dirty under the bunks and didn't use it. The BBQ is gas and will not automatically light; we had to use a lighter and it would light but was inconsistent. The BBQ needs a deep clean as well. Having the accordion doors open was awesome. Letting the air flow in was nice, however some of the doors stick and and grind when you open them and a few pins to lock the doors at the base would not go in securely or at all. When it rained hard the upstairs bedroom had a leak coming down through the ceiling fan. We called about it and they sent maintenance our right away to take care of it, but it rained hard again later in the week and it still leaked.
This ocean front property can’t be beat! Not only is this home beautiful and spacious enough to accommodate our group of nine but it’s location and views right on the water were amazing. It has a very large pool that we used every day and we used the kitchen and barbecue to cook daily as well. It was very well stocked And the property is very meticulously kept. Well worth every penny and we can’t wait to return soon.
Incredible private location with incredible pool and only steps away from the ocean. The response time from management was fast and any issues were handled extremely quick. We will come back again - guaranteed!
I can’t say enough good things about this property and the host. House was perfect and had everything you needed. It was gorgeous and comfertabel and the view you can’t beat. I ran into town (Kona) each day and was such a nice run. Was great being that close too. Will come back ?! Thank you for being so wonderful.
The best views, very convenient location and the house felt like home. The kids enjoyed the pool so much. The house was great for everyone to have their own space. Would highly recommend (maybe one little suggestion would be outdoor furniture that is a bit more cozy?)
Spectacular sunsets! The house accommodated a range of ages beautifully… a 4 and 6 year old to great grandma, who is 92 years young ?. Loved the well-appointed kitchen overlooking the gorgeous ocean view. Professional and friendly service all around. Lovely memories made here to last a lifetime.
