Would definitely stay here again! My family has a tradition of visiting Vermont every other year at Thanksgiving to support local businesses and enjoy beautiful Ludlow and surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our time here, and the furnishings and beds were very comfortable. The three bedrooms upstairs accommodated the three couples very well and the home had all the space and modern conveniences we needed along with some lovely period details. It was nice to have a separate dining room with table and chairs, as well as requisite cookware/serveware to be able to have a festive sit down meal for 6 adults. We wanted a home managed by owners, not a management company. The hosts were responsive (particularly before we arrived) and helped us coordinate a successful stay. They thoughtfully provided everything we needed - thank you to Diane and Craig! We appreciated being able to bring our well-behaved dog, and the property's lower level layout with Dutch door between kitchen and back bathroom/mudroom area worked well (even with two snowfalls during our stay!) Being able to walk to restaurants, two cute coffee shops, and shopping was very convenient. Location is great and we felt the property had excellent balance of privacy, quiet and convenience.
Craig was great to communicate with. Home was clean, convenient and check-in was easy. Thanks!
Great house and location. Would definitely stay there again!
3 adults and a dog fit comfortably into this quirky but lovely home. Some observations: Bunk beds are actually in the upstairs hallway; nice old wooden pantry cupboards were jumbled up, as was the upstairs linen closet. Most challenging was the lingering cigarette smoke; host alerted us as we were driving up and refunded the cleaning fee immediately. We opened windows & doors & sprayed Febreze on carpets, cloth couches, rugs, bed covers. So, a bit sloppy behind doors, lingering smoke, and upstairs BA is tiny. But--it was a very short drive to Okemo and an easy walk to several good restaurants and interesting stores. Hosts very very responsive--we locked ourselves out by accident and Diane replied very quickly with helpful info.
The location and house are both great. The only recommendation would be for owner to de-clutter kitchen cabinets, there was no room for groceries at all. Second floor shower needs to be updated. The rest of the house was great....I would recommend.
Smoke filled house. Plenty of room but not organized. Lots of personal belongs cluttering the areas especially the kitchen.
Our family and another family stayed at this lovely Victorian house for 4 nights for a ski vacation. The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and was very convenient to everything in the area. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, and glassware and a dishwasher. We really appreciated these details as we ate most meals at the house. Since the weather wasn’t the greatest for skiing, we took some day trips to Woodstock and Rutland, both of which were easy, scenic drives from Ludlow.
This house was perfect for our group trip to Okemo. Description and photos very accurate. Beautiful Victorian that has been remodeled inside. Several restaurants and bars within walking distance
Excellent all around. Would recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay at this centrally located home. The house has so much character and has been updated nicely. The owners were wonderful and so responsive when we had a very minor incident with the WiFi, which was fixed within hours. We really appreciated that they allowed our sweet dog to stay. It was so nice to be in town, across from the grocery store, around the corner from the ski shop, & just down the hill from Clocktower. Our kids loved the back staircase too ?. Thank you again to Craig & Diane.
