Liked everything overall...
The property is nicely newly renovated inside. We were happy in it until it started raining. The roof leaked badly in the bedroom and kitchen. Thankfully, the property owner was immediately responsive. She gave me a complete refund Immediately.
We stayed while visiting our son and his family. It's really close (walking distance) to the Railtown park which is a great plus if you have small kids and haven't been before. I never received my check in information but VRBO was a great help. Love that the door is key code, so easy and convenient. Really cute place.
We really enjoyed the clean modern little house that had a top of the line kitchen, nice size yard for our puppy to run around in, and huge bed to sleep in. Loved lounging in the power recliners with DirectTV to watch on a big screen in the living room as well as the master bedroom.
I needed an easy place to stay for two nights with my family. It was clean and quiet. We didn’t need a lot of space and this cute little rental was way better than hotel rooms. You do share a wall with a neighbor but we had no issues with them and even chatted with them in the morning in the front yard.
Enjoyed our stay, perfect size place loaded with everything you need for a fun stay.
Disappointing and pretty misleading. Not much privacy or real space for a stay longer than a weekend. The unit is attached to long term rental tenants who are unfriendly (pounded on the wall and screamed at our daughter while she was in PE class online) and have 2-3 dogs that all but came through the fence (repeatedly) at our dogs. The yard is fenced in with mostly chain link providing little privacy from the neighbor's yard which also has a direct view from the master bedroom. The fancy fridge doesn't dispense water or ice nor does it have an ice maker in the freezer. The unit does not sleep 5 as advertised unless you have 3 children who are small and sleep together on a full sized bunk bed. We were clear with what we needed when we booked and assumed that the couch was a pull out since the unit states that it sleeps 5, wrong. Our oldest son ended up sleeping at a relatives house because the couch was so small and uncomfortable. The smaller bedroom with the bunk bed setup does not have a window and there is only one wall heating until for the entire rental. Several other things that factored into our early departure: non functioning living room furniture (set of recliners), location (not the best part of town when the sun goes down and you can expect to hear everything; even constructions workers talk and spit right outside the master window), unpredictable and inconsistent water pressure and temperature with loud water hammer noises in the walls whenever the water was on. Bottom line, save your money unless you plan to just sleep there, use minimal water, store drinks in the fridge, don't mind lack of privacy, and plan to be out early and be back before sundown.
We were in town to meet our newest grand baby. The location was perfect! This was our first experience with a stay outside of a traditional hotel. We found the property to be clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. When inquiring about details for our trip we received prompt responses and found our host to be accommodating. We heartily recommend and are looking for our first opportunity to return.
We stayed here on a road trip and it was the perfect distance to Columbia Historic State Park and Jamestown's 1897 Railtown State Park. It was very comfortable and had the perfect amount of space to relax after a day of exploring!
Very easy to find! House was stocked with everything we needed. We cooked dinner both nights and realized during heating the pan we had no cooking oil. Found some in the cupboard!
I really appreciate a safe, clean and comfortable place to stay with my two dogs when I come to town.
