Updated Downtown Gem

We love this place. So peaceful and great access to all the downtown places.

This really is a gem. As advertised!! So comfortable, appliances are new, bedding was great, property was really nice and you can’t beat the location. Walk around historic downtown, safe parking. Highly recommend!!

Very nice place. Exactly what we needed to see our daughter for a weekend at SFA

Everything was great! The AC struggled to keep up during the day but cooled down at night.

Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. I was in a tough spot and he stepped up right away—super responsive, helped me get early access to the unit so I could refrigerate some items, and stayed on top of everything. We ran into a couple of issues, but he made it right and even upgraded the stay, which says a lot about how much he cares. Truly A service—Johnny on the spot from start to finish.The location is great too—just a couple blocks from downtown, walking distance to restaurants, right by a park, and less than three minutes from Planet Fitness. I’ll definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

The location was great for exploring downtown Nac! The house was older, but definitely had some updates to it. It worked perfect for our family of four. There was a large fenced in parking area right next to the house too. The host was very accomodating and friendly

This house should be advertised for 2 adults and two children instead of 5 people. The twin beds in the closet room are only suitable for children/teens. A foam topper could help the dorm mattresses comfort. The throw pillows are dirty and should be thrown away. Need to add additional towels. The comforters were dirty and need to be washed. Also the refrigerator started beeping at 6am and did that twice not sure why. The house is cute and has potential but these things should be addressed for this price point.

Our 2-night stay here was perfect. The house has lots of thoughtful details and welcoming decor. Kitchen has full size appliances and is well stocked with pots and pans. Location location is so convenient to walk to nearby stores and restaurants. Luckily for us, the sunset/sky show was just as the picture showed: a beautiful display of orange and blue and pink.

Overall not bad as we have stayed at this location before but this time we had one significant issue. We booked this property June of last year and we checked in at 2pm. We left for several hours and when we returned to the property someone had moved in even though we had all of our belongings in the house. They had 2 dogs in living room and one locked in the bathroom. So we had to sit out on the porch until our host Michael contacted them to come and get there stuff out. They returned within an hr and moved out but not before taking a bag with my wife’s shoes and a couple other things that were in the bag. Could have been taken by mistake but they made no attempt return the items. Not sure how VRBO can book two groups on same dates but it should not have happened.

This was our second time to stay at the Downtown Gem. It was a girls trip to the Nac Wine Swirl. This house is perfect to visit downtown Nac. Convenient and walkable.

The location is excellent! We were able to walk to dinner and truly enjoyed the convenience. The home had everything we needed. Michael is extremely responsive and great to work with!

We had a few minor issues which were address quickly and properly.

Good property, dryer did not have heat but everything else was good

This gem provided us with a quick girls' getaway, which was so refreshing. We could easily walk to all the downtown attractions in Nacogdoches.
