Modern comforts + deep local character invite you to experience authentic Lynchburg. Centrally-located this lovingly restored tiny carriage house will make your visit to Lynchburg a time to remember.
A charming, two-story refuge in the heart of downtown, the space blends 21st century connectedness & convenience with an experiencing of 140 yrs of authentic Lynchburg history. Formerly an early 1900’s plumber's workshop, the 400 sq ft c1883 structure is lovingly restored with antique building materials to honor the stories & things of the people who called this space home for over a century.
Enjoy the spacious grassy yard & relax under the huge rain shower or have a soak in the old clawfoot tub. WiFi, small washer/dryer, & fully equipped tiny kitchen w/ stainless appliances & countertop made from original owner Lowry Overacre’s plumbing workbench make the space a comfortable, efficient, & unforgettable home away from home. The hand-crafted queen bed & custom-made cherry daybed provide flexible sleeping options, while special touches like the restored stained glass windows & historic star bricks on the bathroom floor add real Lynchburg history to everything you touch.
Located just minutes from Lynchburg’s top attractions, restaurants, universities & medical facilities, this cozy getaway offers off-street parking, 24/7 video surveillance outside, & easy access to the Blackwater Creek Trail, downtown LYH’s attractions, the Blue Ridge Parkway & Appalachian Trail, wineries, & breweries.
Built-in USB & USB-C plugs, in-house charging cables & a magsafe apple charger locally-made from recycled skateboards make staying powered up easy.

Very clean, very cozy, historic house located in a quiet neighborhood. The bathroom is a good size, the queen bed upstairs is comfortable. Overall, a very lovely stay.

What an amazing weekend we had here! Everything was exactly as described in the listing, no hidden surprises. We love older structures, the use of reclaimed materials and attention to historical significance so this property hit it out of the park! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely book again!! Thanks so much for the Lynchburg hospitality from a hometown guy :)

The Carriage House Revival is AMAZING!! It’s a fully restored carriage house. If you like rustic, vintage, antique, rugged, historic themed accommodations… THIS IS IT!! Brad communicated beautifully, the directions for parking and entry were perfect. Everything about our stay was ideal. Anytime we go back to Lynchburg. We plan on staying here. I highly recommend it.

The Carriage House was a great find. A unique destination, restored thoughtfully. Brad is a great host and shared his family ties to this area and how he went about restoring this charming cottage with unique old world materials from around Lynchburg. There were interesting artifacts throughout repurposed in clever ways.

What an interesting place. Each nook and cranny has some interesting piece of history on it that was recycled from an old house/barn/door. Great amenities to include a washer dryer, coffee, big fridge, and chargers. A great place to chill for a quiet evening after Lynchburg events. Super clean with brand new bedding and towels. I would definitely stay again.
