Property was extremely impressive, and stay was v enjoyable, but be careful not to book through expedia, as I did, as they go through a third party site and I was charged booking fees by the third party.

The house was nicely presented and the location was perfect for our needs. Our stay was an interesting architectural experience.

The host was very welcoming and our stay was great. Not my cup of tea as far as the style but I must admit it was a pretty cool place to visit.

Up-cycle House in Blackheath is perhaps a little Quirky in the style and architecture of the house, but it is a comfortable and welcoming place to call home for the duration of your stay in the Blue Mountains. The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the Village shops, supermarkets, hotels and coffee shops. Also an easy walk to the rail station if that form of transport is required. All in all a comfortable place to base yourself for a Mountains getaway.

The property was in a quiet, handy location, with plenty of room for 4 of us for two nights. We were notified when the property was ready so that we could check in early, and the property was warm and cosy on arrival. A very pleasant stay.

House is in a very good location, short walk to Blackheath. Very interestingly designed house, might not be to everyone's taste. Lots of steps down to the front door, little difficult to take luggage down, not wheelchair accessible. Kitchen was well equipped, and 2 bathrooms were very convenient. Hot water more than adequate. Oven in kitchen needed matches to light, which for safety should really have some detailed instructions (For lighting grill and oven). House was well insulated, and didn't get too cold, and the gas heater was very effective when it did get cold. The tiles are a bit cold though, so slippers are a good idea. Wood heater is a bit tricky to use, tended to put fire out with the door shut. Single beds were comfortable, 1 queen was a little sagged, but otherwise okay. Sheets and towels were very good quality Windows could do with fly-wire, some had them, some were broken, and some didn't have flywire at all. The welcome package supplied by Blue Mountain Escapes was extremely useful, had a small amount of tea, coffee pods, dishwashing liquid and scrubber and gloves. Could do with some bins, but plastic bags do the job. Small amount of DVDs and books around, and a smallish TV for entertainment. Internet is 4G, and while adequate, did buffer at times for streaming. Overall, we were quite happy with the house and location. Will likely return in the future.

Stayed two nights over the school holidays, as we had a wedding in the nearby Megalong Valley. Property was interesting. Probably better for an adults only stay. The backyard was a rather depressing patch of dirt, with no privacy. The entrance is quite steep from the road and some of the path is narrow and is without railing. Most of the property was clean except for some of the linen, and one of the bathrooms. The gas heater was excellent and no need to start the fire. Property could do with a dishwasher, larger TV and maybe an electric frypan. We could not start the gas oven but had more luck with the stove top, although it took a while to hunt down something to light it with. For what we paid, it was overpriced.
