Unique Home on Back River w/ Stunning Sunsets, Private Dock by Tybee Cottages

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Couldn't use the sofa because there were droppings and food. Mouse droppings on the counters each morning.

The property is lovely with a great view of the river from the porch, even better on the dock. The only things we really needed was a working ice maker or ice trays in the freezer and blankets. There was only one blanket in the entire house that I could find. The room configuration is a little misleading, one of the bedrooms is on the bottom level, it is very dark and musty down there and I am not sure I would enjoy staying in the lowest level. There was also a sleeping area upstairs, but it is an open space and could be used as additional place to sleep or another common area for kids to hang out in. Overall, I would highly recommend the house, we loved staying there even if it was just the two of us. The house is a historical gem and the owners are so kind. I would love to come visit the area again.

So beautiful and we loved the furnishings

Our family of 7 came for a week after baseball in Atlanta. Tybee is so great! Cute town. We loved the house...interesting history, beautiful decor, lots of space. Our boys fished daily and had great success! They caught flounder daily and I cooked it up! The girls took the golf cart we rented to the beach and got coffee (Sand Cat and Tybean) It was the best stay!!!!

We had the best time during our stay! The house was so charming! We loved the back dock area where the dolphins came by daily. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The communication with the managers of this house was wonderful. The location was excellent close to restaurants and the beach. We loved the laid back vibe. We will be back next year.

It came with all things you need for a fun vacation like bikes and beach equipment . Would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to host a large family vacation. Beautiful views from the back porch and dock. Super comfortable house, nicely decorated and furnished (though a bit light on essentials in the kitchen). Very comfortable - we had a great stay - will be back for sure.

There were 5 of us, myself and my 2 sisters and their husbands. The first thing you saw when you walked in was the beautiful back river water and dock. You could see this whenever in kitchen, dining room and living room. The rooms were all adequate and comfortable. We spent a lot of time sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch enjoying the water. We loved the dock, part of which is covered and had couches and rocking chairs. One of my sisters and I spent a lot of time reading there. We rented a golf cart which made it easy to get Tybee and not have to worry about parking. We grew up on Tybee in the 50's and 60's. We have been coming back for vacations quite frequently for the last 15 years. We will definitely be back.

Lovely decorated beach home that was just what my family needed. Lots of fishing opportunities to fish on the private dock. Super quick drive to the beach, or a nice leisurely walk if weather permits. Great location and neighborhood! Super communication from home management. We all loved our stay.

Best of all it had a dock on deep water on the Back River. We had such a great time hanging out on the dock, swimming and enjoying the nice breeze on the river.
