Unique High Standard Property with heated pool set on the remparts of Domme

Enjoyed a great two week holiday with family at ‘Le Reve’. House and pool were fantastic and just as advertised. Location within Domme couldn’t have been better with lovely restaurants and shops only a few minutes walk away. Perfectly located for visiting the numerous wonderful nearby attractions in the area. My only recommendation would be to have some mobile air con units for the bedrooms. It was in excess of 35 degrees most days and the heat in the bedrooms at night was unbearable and made it hard to sleep. Apart from that an absolutely fantastic place to stay! I would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

House and location were excellent, the only faults were with the pool and garden. The grass hadn't been cut and the pool was dirty. When they came and cleaned the pool all that they did was stir up the sediment on the bottom until it looked clear. 1 hour later the dirt started to settle again, the next day it was back to being dirty, so poor pool management.

The house is simply furnished, centrally located in the region and just a few minutes walk to the center of Domme. Host Melanie was very responsive and helpful. Check-in is self check-in for those who prefer that method. A very basic supply of amenities. We had to make the beds when we arrived and were asked to strip the beds when we left which was new for us having rented vacation homes multiple times.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Reve in Domme - the house is a perfect size for a family of 5 and the pool and decor were great. The place felt luxurious and comfortable, and we enjoyed exploring Domme and the local villages, as well as canoeing and a candlelit walk around the jardin de marquessac. Driving into and out of Domme in a large car was a challenge as the old roads are so narrow - I don't recommend that in the dark! We would certainly return.

The property has been thoughtfully and tastefully renovated with lots of little touches that make it a luxurious and convenient home from home. The location is stunning and Domme is a beautiful town with everything you need in a walkable distance and tourist attractions such a canoeing, an easy drive away. The property is very well maintained and the property management company are very professional and responded quickly when we had a query. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

A wonderful and comfortable home in the most fabulous location- the proximity of restaurants being a very short walk yet feeling you're away from the town is brilliant - we love staying there. Hand towels in the toilets would be good. Some smaller bowls in crockery would be very useful too. The car that parks outside the other rental property at the beginning of the lane - doesn't make it easy to pass - I hope a larger one won't be there in future as we wouldn't get through! Apart from that though it really is the perfect holiday home

We spent a lovely week here at this amazing place. The weather definitely helped and we were able to enjoy the pool and incredible views on the terrace in the evenings. But the house has been designed and finished inside to a very high standard and we felt incredibly spoilt and appreciated every minute we spent here. We loved exploring the area but it truly was a delight to come back to such a special place at the end of the day. We hope to return one day!

Quite possibly the most beautiful spot on earth! A ravishing view from a medieval village that charms the heart right out of you. Beauty everywhere you turn, fabulous restaurants, friendly people and plenty of things to visit nearby. Le Reve is beautiful, tastefully appointed with everything you need but nothing extraneous. I didn't even miss my own bed. And then there's the garden! Marna Terry
