Casa Junipero is shielded behind 5 large juniper trees. A flagpole in front pays tribute to its former life as a boarding school. A complete re-imagining of the interior and grounds created this 5400 square foot luxury home sleeps 14 people with up to 7 bedrooms and 5-1/2 baths, all under one roof. The rear walled garden has a landmark pine tree flanked on one side by two social areas, a fireplace by the dining table for cool nights, and cocktail seating around a fire pit. The other side ofthe pine has a separate private area with chaise lounges for sunning and tetherball.

Just a 4 block walk to the museums, galleries, and restaurants of the Plaza, Casa Junipero is the perfect place for a family reunion, 'girls getaway' or group retreat. Gorgeous views cover mountains, local parks, the Cathedral tower, and the Statehouse. The complete modern renovation and interior design complement the open feel of the beautiful skies and mountains while assuring privacy and comfort. The contemporary and transitional furnishings and lustrous diamond plaster walls and modern art to create a very unique environment for your Santa Fe vacation.

Oak floors, granite countertops, steel, glass, and leather furniture are found throughout the house. The Living room and Dining room are spacious and open with large windows showing the city and mountain views and sunsets. The 11-foot long granite dining table sits 10-12 comfortably. The eat-in Kitchen has plenty of granite counter workspace and quality stainless steel fixtures, including a Bosch dishwasher and oven range.

The Master Suite has a pillow top queen bed, large smart TV, walk-in glass tile rain shower, twin sinks, and separate soaking tub. It connects to the Study as well as has French doors directly to the garden. The Study/5th BR has a large smart TV, work desk, queen sleeper sofa, and a full bath with tub and shower.

The other 2 bedrooms on the main floor are isolated and share a full bath. One has two twin beds (perfect for kids or singles) and the other has a queen bed and TV and cable. The oversized Guest Suite has a queen bed, TV, Wifi, sitting area, and a full bath. The house includes a massage room (which was once the bomb shelter!), a separate billiards room, and full laundry.

The house is engineered to be as efficient and environmentally friendly as a house of this stature can be. The on-demand hot water, efficient baseboard heat, modern central Air Conditioning on the main floor, water recovery systems, 18-inch thick walls, and windows and doors show how environmental concerns can be incorporated into your comfort and everyday luxury.

The Garden provides full privacy while allowing grand views of the mountains. The patio area has a dining table seating 12 in a protected area with an outdoor wood fireplace, with a separate seating area with firepit. A separate walled area allows sunning on chaise lounges or play, depending on your whim. The horseshoe pit allows outdoor group entertainment. The large evergreen tree and outdoor sculpture accentuate the natural and creative atmosphere of Santa Fe.

In addition, there is a 1400 square foot 2-bedroom apartment, which can be made available for a larger family reunion or holiday. It has its own entrance but is easily accessible into the house. The great room has a living area with convertible queen sleeper sofa, smart TV, a dining area with table and chairs for 6, and a granite counter, stainless steel full kitchen. The two bedrooms share a full bath and each has a queen size bed and garden views. The apartment also has a full laundry. Rental of this optional apartment is not available except in connection with a rental of the main house.

The house is a short walk to the Plaza and its shopping, restaurants, and galleries, so there is no need to worry about parking and getting around downtown Santa Fe. It is also near a municipal playground and swimming pool and gymnasium, as well as on the way to local spas, skiing, and the Opera.

Contacts are available for the extra help you made need to have the truly relaxing visit you are looking for. Cooking staff, cleaners, or even massage therapists will make your stay perfect.

The nightly rent for the apartment is shown as separate property fee in the Quote provided by Vrbo/Homeaway.

The house was spacious with a walkable location and beautiful mountain views. Great restaurants and museums were minutes away. The house itself was clean, the living room and dining areas were cozy and inviting for large group gatherings while there were numerous bedrooms for privacy. Two areas of comfort could be tweaked: 2 ply tp and a shelf or shower bench in the master suite to place shampoo and soap on instead of the floor. Otherwise a lovely home to enjoy family and friends while in Santa Fe.

Spectacular house, especially for a large group. Ideally located for quick walks into town while providing unbeatable outdoor spaces and views. Unbelievably spacious so that we could gather but also spread out to have our own spaces. One of the best rentals ever. Also the best host I have ever had. Throughout the process, Mark was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He offered great recommendations and offered explicit instructions for enjoying the house and Santa Fe. He made us feel so welcome; I felt as if I were staying at a trusted friend’s house. I spent my 80th birthday staying at Mark’s house, and he and his house ensured that this birthday was my most memorable ever. I highly recommend the house, location, and host!Better than the five stars that were available! Hoping for more birthdays at this house!

Mark, the host was wonderful, responding to every question and accommodating every request quickly and in a friendly manner. We loved the location, and the space was great for our party of 6 adults and 3 small children. Everything spacious and well cared for. Couldn’t ask for more!

This is an outstanding home for a group visiting Santa Fe. It's well spread out so that everyone can have their own space and yet there are numerous places in the home and outside for hanging out. The area is perfect as it's easy walking to downtown or Canyon Road, and yet it is residential and quiet. There's a lot of birds, which I enjoyed. We did have an issue with equipment when we arrived and Mark was very responsive. All in all, a great stay and I hope to get back quickly, as there's nothing like Santa Fe.

Dishes were dirty we had to handwash before we could use them dishwasher did not clean dishes. Cupbords were in disaray Lightbulbs were burned out . Half of the elecric plugs did not work Curtains in 2 bedrooms were only balancecd in the middle and fell to the floor when closing them one bathroom had lukewarm water and the drain did not drain. Stood in dirty water while showering. Steps into the house were crumbling on the edges The only advantage of this house was its closeness to the square Most of the beds were pretty uncomfortable. That is probably enough without getting picky.

Wonderful place to stay for large groups looking to enjoy all Santa Fe has to offer. Ideal location within walking distance of the plaza, ft. Marcy Park, the capitol and canyon road. Host couldn’t have been easier to deal with and made sure our group had a wonderful trip.

Great location, walkable to plaza and Santa Fe Railyard. Plenty of common space to gather our large group, and each couple had their own room. We loved the outdoor space to hang out, have meals, and make smores. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the property was very clean. Mark was a friendly and responsive host.

The house is huge with lots of space for our family of 12 to all gather together, but also had separate living spaces for everyone to have their own space if they chose! The location was wonderful! In a nice quiet neighborhood but close enough that we could easily walk to town and the Plaza. There was a big outdoor area with lots of seating at the big dining table or on the outdoor sofas. There was even a firepit and a fireplace.Check in was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. Our host Mark gave us a lot of information before our check in and made us feel very welcome.Great place to stay during our visit to Santa Fe!

Pros - this house was big, clean, and very conveniently located to downtown. It was also well equipped. We appreciated all of the kitchen supplies and things like foil and plastic wrap.Cons -There were minor disappointments like cheap hand soap that was then watered down even further and wet towels left in the washer. The owner blamed that on my request to check in an hour early (a request that received a response one way or the other). The worst and most disappointing part was the water that pooled in front of the entrance to the separate apartment. This water made it dangerous and tricky for us to bring in large suitcases, and we had children who had to navigate that. I messaged the owner multiple times, he said he would send his manager out to take. The manager never came, and a “friend” finally came two days later to check it.

We EASILY gathered 11 adults - 5 couples and a single - with more than enough space to hang out, sleep, bathe and eat. This house is really outstanding for a large group. One dinner entailed 5 cooks in the kitchen - at the same time - and then all 11 of us fitting comfortably around the dining room table. The house is spotless. It’s clean and comfortable with all key provisions. There is also lots of parking. We easily fit 3 cars. We walked to activities. The house is 10 min walk to The Plaza. Communicating with the host was amazing. He was always responsive and friendly.

The home has a great location, but all the adults in our group felt that the quality of the stay absolutely did not match the high rental price we paid! In the lower-level bedroom, the curtain rod was held together with duck tape & never worked, forcing us to rig up our own window covering each night. (happy to provide picture)The washing machine in the apartment did not work. The bathroom windowsill on upper floor had black mold on it. (happy to provide picture). The shower drain in another upper floor bathroom was not draining properly. Most of the bathrooms didn’t even contain 1 full roll of toilet paper, but only partial leftover rolls with no back up.Most of the bathrooms didn’t have a bathmat. The kitchen had a small plastic trash can that didn't fit the trash bags, (so every time you threw something away you had to pull the bag back up). There was no sponge provided in the kitchen. The knob on the back door was broken & pulls off.The chemical/ harsh cleaning products smell in the house was absolutely overwhelming, triggering migraines, and concern from a very pregnant guest. Some of these were small concerns (that could have been easily addressed), but not what we expected with the price we paid for the rental.

We had 13 guests and it was the perfect place to comfortably put everyone under the same roof! There were plenty of sleeping areas and lots of bathrooms. The kitchen was spacious for cooking and with a huge dining table indoor and outdoor! We loved being so close to everything! A great place to spend time with a large group.

The house was conveniently located just a few blocks from the main plaza in Santa Fe, and we were able to walk to most of the shops, restaurants, and museums. The house was roomy, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. There are also great outdoor spaces on the property where we could sit and relax.

Great location within walking distancew of the main Plaza with room for all seven of us to have our own bedrooms. We cooked and ate together using the indoor and outdoor dining spaces as well as enjoying the common areas. The kitchen was generally well outfitted but could use a tea kettle and sharper knives. The beds were ok but one was so soft that it could not be used and I had to sleep on a couch and then on the floor.

The house accommodated our family of 14, Spacious living room and dining room with beautiful panoramic view. Most of our meals were prepared in the kitchen which was fully equipped. The dishwasher, however, was on its' last leg, and probably needs to be replaced. We also encountered some ants in one of the bedrooms. The backyard was very nice, and we spent many hours reading and enjoying the wonderful view of the mountains.
