Umbria - A country residence 6 Bedrooms w Ensuite Bathrooms

Our group of 4 families had a great stay at La Casa Rossa. We loved the views, the pool, and the house was great. Outdoor dining overlooking the valley was amazing, and the kitchen, while not cosy, was a great place for a group to cook. The home is in a quiet and safe setting minutes outside of Todi. which is a fun and beautiful hilltop town.While we really enjoyed our stay, I have to point out (and give 4 stars versus 5) a couple issues that could and probably should have been better. First, 1-2 bedrooms out of the 6 had a bad smell in the bedrooms right from the start. It was taken care of, but the cleaners probably should have caught this, and 2-3 nights for 1 group were definitely impacted. The cleaning ladies also took the everyone's flat bed sheet one day for some reason. They replaced upon request but that was weird and given the temps, uncomfortable. Lastly, some of the wood flooring outside was a worn and could cause injury if someone is unlucky/not careful. Finally, there is very little light available in many of the bathrooms of the bedrooms. Overall, I would strongly consider staying again but it wouldn't be without hesitation. As such, 4 vs 5 stars from us.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful villa in rural Umbria. The owner and his colleagues were very helpful, always on hand to provide advice and answer our questions. We were a family on 12, including children, teenagers and one grandma. We had plenty of room to relax, enjoy the pool, eat (inside or outside), whilst also all having our own private rooms and bathrooms. The regional town of Todi is nearby (you can walk there in around 25 minutes, although some parts are fairly steep) where you will find amazing views, typical Umbrian streets and architecture, along with a range of nice restaurants that are well priced. I would recommend a car, which will enable you to travel to the local supermarket (which has great produce) and some of the other local towns. We all had a great time, welcomed by great hosts and would recommend the villa wholeheartedly.

We had an amazing time with my family this summer, we didn’t had the chance to enjoy Giulianas cooking talents but Giampaolo was available and always friendly.

We were a three-generation family of twelve, ages 7-78, staying at this beautiful villa. The house had everything we needed, the kids loved the pool (what a view from the pool area as it sits slightly higher than the house), and the adults relaxed in the various indoor and outdoor seating areas. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment, and we were able to cook several meals after almost daily trips to a nearby superstore. Giuliana is friendly and warm, and we were able to communicate using Google Translate. She cooked two delicious dinners for us as well. The town of Todi is a 10 minute drive away, and the other hill top towns of Umbria are between 45-60 minutes away. Thank you for the memories.

Peace, nature, luxury.

We were two families (10 people) who enjoyed a wonderful week at La Casa Rossa. The owner Giampaolo was an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. The housekeeper Guiliana cooked two wonderful meals for us and Laura kept the house looking immaculate.This is a very special property. The interior decor is clean and contemporary and the house is fitted out to a very high standard too. The large pool is a highlight. Situated just outside the beautiful town of Todi, the location offered us easy access to a number of other beautiful hilltop towns within a close radius (max one hour). Stocking up at the local supermarket EMI was close, easy and a pleasure. I can highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quintessential Umbrian experience made all the more enjoyable by dealing with the responsive, professional and friendly owner Giampaolo. Our sincere thank you’s to you and your staff for a wonderful week in Umbria !

We've come to Giampaolo's villa many times. We are always pleasantly surprised by the peace, the beauty of nature and the comfort offered by the villa. We really like it, we'll still be there.

Everything about our stay was magnificent! The home is very chic and modern on the inside and the natural setting is perfect. The photos do not do it justice as the views are even more spectacular in person. This is the second time that I am renting this beautiful home. The first time in 2015 was with family and kids and this year it was with adults only. Both vacations were among the best I have ever had! Giampaolo outdid himself in terms of decor and detail to all aspects of the home. Every angle was picture perfect! Giuliana is a phenomenal asset and cooked for us on several occasions. We even were lucky enough to have her teach us how to make homemade pasta and bolognese. Laura is great too as she kept everything neat and tidy. We used the pool several times because of the summer heat and could not get enough of the views, lavender scents and lush landscaping. We toured easily by car to Todi, Orvieto, Assisi, Montefalco, Spello and Deruta. Umbria is a magnificent region to explore nature, food and wine -who could ask for more!
