The house was very nicely decorated. Open concept made it very spacious. Ample bedrooms. The deck was nice to sit on and watch the geese and swans in the channel. Nicely stocked with kitchen utensils, paper towel and toilet paper. The owners were very quick to respond and gave great instructions for how to pick up your keys. We would stay here again if we were in the area. That being said there were some downsides. You have to bring your own linens and towels, no dishwasher. The hot water does not last for a full shower. The one thing that really needs attention is the floor in the kitchen and bathroom. It is very soft in spots where it must be rotting under the flooring. It had quite a bit of give and while we never felt unsafe walking on it was unnerving.

Beautiful area, communicative and accommodating hosts, lovely spacious clean house and comfortable beds. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available so we were able to relax and have nice meals together. There is boat access about a mile up the road and a dock in the backyard on the channel to park the boat. There were pontoon boats available for rent so we were able to take a group of family members out onto the lake for fishing, swimming, and a relaxing ride. This was our second Labor Day weekend staying here and it was just as lovely as the first year!

Our stay was great! My husband, our daughter and her family stayed and we had a great time. They made it so convenient and brought the paddle boards and kayaks right to us, and picked them up! the house was stocked full of anything you could need during a stay! The only thing I think you should know is the floor in front of the front door needs replaced. It’s falling in and seems as though flooring was put over it to cover it up.. we had to put a pan in the hole so everyone would not step in it. But I’m sure the owner knows that already and will fix it! It did not stop us from enjoying our time there! We would definitely rent this place again! The location is perfect! Magician lake is beautiful! We spent some time at Silver Beach as well! It’s about 30-40 minutes away but well worth the drive!!

Turtle Cove is a gem!We took the family up for the week of the 4th and really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor area in the back is very peaceful; fire pit, good fishing, and really cool to watch the boats all making their way to the lake. The home has all needs and is cool and comfortable.Hilda was wonderful throughout the entire process!A few opportunities; The home is a bit rundown:-kitchen floor is sunken under the flooring in several areas-the decks, both front and back have several cracks or holes in areas and it’s very splinter prone from years of wear and tear.-the majority of the docks on the channel are broken or even unusable. With that being said I would never hesitate to rebook- it was a wonderful trip and its proximity to the lake and everything around it is perfect. Thanks for having us!

The cabin was very clean. 1 queen bed 6 twin beds. I felt it was a good value. Nice back deck. Nice appliances and kitchen. It is on a small creek leading to the lake. Which is very close.

Our family had such a nice time here! Close enough to Dowagiac to be convenient, but out ebough to be perfectly peaceful. The lake and channel were great, the hosts accommodating, and the house we clean and spacious. I would definitely book here again! We had a good time just lpumging outside, fishing off the dock, and taking our little boat out.

We recently stayed at Turtle Cove with friends. The common space is nice and open and I liked the French doors that opened to the large deck. It was nice being on the canal and there is a pier available if you bring or rent a boat. The living room furniture was comfortable and the tv had access to streaming apps like Netflix. The internet connection was good. Bringing our own sheets was annoying, but we were told ahead of time. Don’t forget to bring blankets. Our families enjoyed our stay, but there are some things to note about the property. There is no dishwasher so we ended up using paper plates and plastic utensils for convenience. Some foil and ziplock baggies would have been convenient for food storage. The bedrooms were small and as pictured, but there was an odor that persisted in all of them. I am not sure if it came from the air conditioner units or the carpet, but the smell was musty and creeped onto some of our clothes. Another thing to note is the water damage to the kitchen floor. As soon as you walk in there is a rug over a large soft spot In the kitchen. It didn’t really effect us too much, but it is definitely significant enough to be annoying and a bit alarming. I wonder if there is other water damage that is causing the odor in the bedrooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Magician lake and would rent again because it’s conveniently down the street from our friends. Hilda was quick to answer if we had any questions.
