Stayed Dec 27, 2020The rental property itself is very nice. Small but nice. The owners are pros at this and wasn't their first rodeo for sure. Be very careful when renting this property. We booked for 4 adults. This property cannot fit 4 adults of any size. So when we get there and figure this out (even though they booked us and took our money) they offer the back yard cottage for an additional fee per night. So now our stay doubled in price with the same amount of people staying. They threatened to rent the back cottage to someone else if we didn't want it. These two buildings share the same amenities, porches, patio furniture..etc so we would have been spending the 3-4 days with complete strangers. The projection TV is stored in the cottage so if you don't rent that you have no use of the outdoor tv. The propane fire pit had no propane and we were later told that we needed to disconnect the propane from the grill and use that propane for the fire pit. We were left with one roll of toilet paper and one half roll of paper towel. They asked us if we wanted use to the golf cart so of course we said yes and they than told us to Venmo them $50 a day for the use of this so now my stay is even more expensive. The golf cart is about 25 years old, wouldn't hold a charge and had a bum front wheel. We drove it less than 100 yards and it ran out of juice. We were told that you cant drive it all day. I'm not making this up, we drove it 100 yards and it died, twice and later they blamed us for the wheel issue. There is zero wifi service there and no cell service so you cannot send or receive text messages or emails. I would drive away to send messages to the owners about these things and they would accuse us of wrong doing. My 22 year old IVY league student (Cornell)was able to get an error message verifying that the owners suspended the wifi service. When I questioned them the answer was this we can charge whatever we want, you guys just must not be used to staying in high end property....for the record I have stayed in $1500 a night houses, hotel rooms, suits.....and everything in between. The pricing doesn't bother us, the lack of usage of amenities, the bait and switch for how many adults it sleeps and than being told we are the scammers. And you they have all my money so not sure how we could be scamming. Last we were approached by three different people asking who we were and how long we were there for. Min. rental is 30 days!!!!! Jokes on us!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Please read!!!!!!!!!! We have many experiences renting houses and this one was a complete disaster. We have a family of 4 and my grandparents traveling with us for The New Year. Wasn’t sure by the listing if we get both the cottage and house. Assumed we did, especially with a group of 6. Just to make sure, I sent numerous messages through vrbo without a response from the owner (which should of been a red flag). I called vrbo to help. They could not give contact information for owner, but they tried to reach out to owner numerous times without a response. Finally, 1 week out we got contact information and called daily and left voicemails. Finally after 3 days of trying, she finally responds without a reason. She asks for additional fee for the guest house . She would only accept money though Venmo and not through vrbo (which now is under investigation with vrbo). I had to pay, because everything is booked and too lasts to get another house. Great start. We rented this property, because we wanted to be close to Anna Maria and want to be safe due to Covid. My thoughts that the Grandparents have the tiny gust house and our family of 4 would try to fit in the tiny house. But would have a common area that had a working fire pit and outdoor movie set up. Staying in our tiny accommodations wasn’t the biggest problem (again, very tiny).. I had questions before about is the projector a smart projector and wanted to make sure it was set up and directions there for us. She replied that it will be set up and easy to use (complete lie).. When we go to the house and looked for a manual to help find a local property manager, realized that it didn’t exist. I called owner, who by the way lives in Washington and never responds on time, she had no clue. Then directed us to go find the projector in one of the closets and hook it up ourselves. We realized right away: no Internet, no outdoor Projextor, tv’s didn’t work, and no hot water. I called and left vm for to fix while we are out for dinner. She didn’t respond it the next morning. She a guy the next morning to ask a few questions and were suppose to come back later that day to fix issues and no showed. Bottom line, all you are getting is a tiny house without working equipment. We contacted vrbo and now owner is under investigation. The owner might seem nice , but do not trust. If you want rent a house without working equipment, then go ahead and waste your money!
