Come get in touch with your thoughts, your heart. A fantastic peaceful place for the mind to rest or be completely rejuvenated on this island resort once built for this healthful reason. This 6 acre island paradise has the look and feel of the Tropics, yet you are connected to our secure gated estate by our two gated drives to land. Large Birds of Paradise, abundant Lush vegetation, Palms, clusters of Bamboo, roses, Gardenias, Lavendar and the Olde feeling of Florida under our large hanging Live Oaks gives this island a swanky feel! 8 bedrooms, all with King sized beds and one queen, most bedrooms have their own water closet (except one). The second floor bathrooms have their own verandahs overlooking the water. The treasure that we were blessed to have found should be shared with others! The Island is surrounded by water on all sides, except for the drives where you are able to get on without the use of a boat. For those that want to have exclusion and privacy, this is the place! The lanai: A beautiful place to spend your time.
The sound of birds is not the only thing that you will hear, fish jumping is another sound. When we tell you that you will see Dolphins, Manatees and Bald Eagles while you sit on the Florida Plantation style front porch, we mean it! Mothers Day was a treat for me as a Mother and her baby Dolphin came to our water steps and spent an hour swimming back and forth enjoying our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.

We rent a house each year for our family and their children. This house is has everything you will need. It had all the spices, paper towel, T.P., trash bags... Things we normally have to supply. The house is perfect both inside and out. Well maintained grounds, LARGE BBQ with two gas tanks. Owner met us and showed us the house. Rent this house and you will enjoy your stay.
The location was great. We the property when our vacation to Captiva was cancelled due to Ian. It was like your own resort, paddle boards, large pool, kayaks and fishing from the sea wall. The large grounds were beautiful.
We came in for family Thanksgiving. The home easily accommodated our larger group- even had a few beds to spare. Due to the recent hurricane, we weren't sure how well the property would have faired. It was immediately clear, however, that the team put monumental effort into making things as lovely as possible. Freshly potted flowers in the boxes and grassy areas cleared of debris. Care was taken to make us feel welcome- even the cute resident cat TomTom was friendly! The family made great use of the available kayaks and paddle board to visit the local manatees and play with the dolphins that came right up to the house daily. The kids had a great time building sand castles with the white sand that was provided to make a beach for them. The only downside was the amount of nibbling insects when sitting outside. However, bug spray was provided, and even they didn't dampen our spirits. I would recommend this home for large families that want to feel together while still having space to spread out.
This house is all about comfort. It has every kitchen accoutrement you might need. We made great meals and had lazy days in the pool. It was everything we needed for a large family vacation.
This is a wonderful property and home and we loved it! Manatee and dolphin visits, huge pool. Lots of space.
We did a week-long retreat for some team members of our company and this place couldn't have been more perfect. The updates to this house (including what seemed like all brand new bathrooms and a marvelous kitchen) were over the top perfect. We had room for everyone and we managed to catch fish every day we were there. Tons of wildlife right in the backyard and that back deck on the water was our favorite place to hang out, to grill, and to have a cocktail as the sun went down. Definitely coming back!
One of the best vacation rentals we've ever had. Clean house, comfortable beds, plenty of good bed linens and towels, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful location, warm heated pool, helpful and responsive management. Everything you hope for when you go on vacation!
I stayed here with my family of 9 for a week. We picked this property for its proximity to Crystal River and Tampa. The property is very private and surrounded by water. The property is like a botanical garden with many plants and trees all around. Aripeka is a quaint sleepy town. Not much there but nature, wildlife, and nice people. Stop by the Aripeka Stone Crab company for tasty fish and to meet Mermaid Kerry. There is a tiny grocery store on the island. Otherwise, everything else is about a 10 min drive. The nearest beach on Pine Island was about 20 mins. Back at the house We really enjoyed the covered veranda that is full of comfortable outdoor furniture and dining tables. We spent a lot of time out there. We loved looking for sea life. In fact, one of the highlights was up close experiences with dolphins that swam right up to the wall on many occasions. We also saw many different kinds of birds and sea otters. We used the kayaks and pool a lot. the pool is clean but the fiberglass is deteriorating and looks dirty. The kitchen was very well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful charcuterie plate and champagne left for us in the fridge on arrival. My only concern, not really complaint, is the temperature of the house. We were not allowed to change the thermostat bc the AC units would freeZe up. My husband and I had the fans running in every room and usually slept on top of the sheets. No one ever complained though. But I know for some people they would be uncomfortable in 72-74 degrees. One suggestion I have for the owner is better privacy for the bedrooms. My husband and I did not stay in the largest bedroom because the doors did not lock and the doors were glass with see through curtains on them. We decided to stay in a smaller room that had a door that locked. The same thing was the case for another room at the top of the stairs. I really don’t think see-through curtains on glass doors that don’t lock is acceptable for bedrooms. Another thing to be aware of is that only 3 of the 6 bedrooms have a bathroom. The only bathroom not in a bedroom is upstairs. Not lcomplaining bc it worked fine for us, but if I was staying here with another family, I think it would be a problem. All in all, I think this is a lovely home that I would stay at again but hopefully after the glass doors are fixed.
Every year we schedule a vacation since our parents passed and we mostly just hang out at the house: play games, fish, watch movies and sit on the porch. This house was amazing for that even though the hurricane Elsa decided to make a statement. Thankfully her statement was to Let it go! Deni was so very helpful during our time of uncertainty on what to do. We fished and caught so many catfish and pinfish. If you plan to fish I suggest that you have a good rod and strong line. It became a nightly thing on catching the big one because 3 nights it broke the line or rod. There are so many good places to eat and she is only a text away for questions. We saw dolphins, sea otters, gators, a raccoon and made a friend with a bird that wanted our bait that we named Fred. With 13 people we had plenty of time to spread out and relax. It was such a peaceful week.
Aripeka, FL, took our immediate family of 9 back to at least the 1950’s, and possibly earlier. The 6-acre beautifully maintained property was totally relaxing post-Covid-19 recovering for all in our small group. It was such a wonderful experience, I, the family elder, made a decision to repeat the process each year during the same week in a different location of our great country. There is no substitute for family-bonding, and this location provided us additional cement! Sincerely, Dr. Robert Breedlove & Family
