Stayed Jan 1, 1Fantastically well appointed house, with the open plan area being the hub/heart of the residence. The main bedroom is a real spacious treat, and the others are all modern and spacious. The location is great for 2 beaches, and the facilities of Newquay. An added benefit is the 'Ugly Butterfly' - Great restaurant!

Stayed Jan 1, 1We recently stayed at Treheyl for a 60th birthday and couldn’t have had a better time. The property is lovely and has great views down the river Gannel towards Crantock. The house is well equipped with quality furnishings and there is plenty of space for everyone. We were lucky with the weather but the house is big enough for everyone to have a good time even if you have stay in. Also thank you to Luxury Coastal for helping arrange this property after our original property choice was cancelled at the last minute.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We really enjoyed our stay, there was so much space inside and outside which is perfect for a big group. It didn't matter that the weather was not always kind to us as we could use the hot tub and the cinema room, and cook meals in the very well equipped kitchen. Everyone found the beds very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. I would recommend this accomodation.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We recently rented Treheyl, Pentire and have to say how incredible this gorgeous property is. We spent hours gazing at the amazing views over the Gannel Estuary and towards Crantock beach. The house is in the perfect position to make the most of a sundowner on the huge balcony for the best sunsets and hot tub experiences.! It was incredible to have access to the riverbed directly from the fabulous, well maintained garden; our dog (Cosmo, the Australian Shepherd) had the best time and was so happy. If the weather had been a little warmer, we would definitely have made use of the kayaks and paddle boards kindly left there. Treheyl is also situated so that it is only a short walk to the famous Fistral Beach where there are plentiful restaurants to try out (e.g. Rick Steins for Fish and Chips, The Stable for Pizzas and The Seaspray Cafe on the steep steps down to Fistral beach is a little gem! All dog friendly). The house is a stones throw from the Pentire Headland - great for views, perfect sunsets and walks - and a great place for Sunday lunch is the Lewinnick Lodge (booking recommended) - superb. We discovered a secret bridge on the Gannel riverbed where you can cross at low tide, then walk (part beach part countryside) to Crantock beach, then up the rocks to a stunning venue for lunch (called C-Bay) - but if you miss the low tide on the way back - the bridge will be covered and you will need to walk an extra 3.5km to get home!!! It was such a joy to return to Treheyl after our action packed days - so comfortable, well equipped, relaxing and had everything we could wish for. During the first weekend we were a family of seven adults and two dogs and we had plenty of room to enjoy the house and all the facilities. (Thanks for leaving the hose in the garden to get the sand off the dogs too). When they left it was just the two of us and our dog - but with the layout of the house we did not feel lost or overwhelmed, and felt quite at home! On the wet windy Sunday evening the Media Room was fabulous for watching a movie with such a large TV screen, comfy sofas and a brilliant sound system. Everyone commented how comfortable the beds were and how powerful the showers were. Oh - and the baths were a luxury; so deep and relaxing! It was great to have plenty of storage cupboards in the kitchen and the utility room with the extra fridge came in handy too. Perfect dining room table (with an idyllic background view) for a large crowd and the breakfast bar in the kitchen was perfect for serving drinks and nibbles and then for just the two of us. We were able to get two large cars and two small cars on the driveway (but there was plenty of street parking too). Honestly, these owners have thought of everything to make an unforgettable holiday experience. Thank you so much, and we would definitely LOVE to return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I would recommend this place but there are a few pointers I would make for future bookers: The details state that there is a super king size bed in bedrooms 2 & 5 - this is incorrect as they are both normal king size beds. There is no door to the master bedroom, therefore all noise and lighting travels upstairs. During our visit, the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t want to use it, but the plunge pool was too dirty for use. There were no codes provided for the combination locks to the hot tub cover. The gardener turned up unannounced during our stay!!!!!! Not impressed by this and should be completed during the hours the property is vacated prior to the next customers arriving. There is a charcoal BBQ, however it is an inadequate size for large groups. We had an issue with ants and flying ants inside the property. Traps were laid prior to our arrival and we did receive an email to inform us that the house keeper had reported there were a few….. there were literally hundreds and the traps were insufficient. We had to buy further treatment but we still had an ongoing issue with ants in other areas of the property. There are many positives to this place however. Location, view and access to the beach being some of them. The kitchen was well equipped and there is also a washing machine if needed. The advert states that 3 cars will fit on the drive, but we had no issue fitting four. The use of the paddle boards and kayaks was very enjoyable along the Gannel.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969WOW, was our first impression on walking through the front door and the view we got of the gunnel through the rear windows. The kitchen & utility rooms were impressive with the 3 sets of ovens. My grandson enjoyed the hot tub, nearly everyday after our visits to the surrounding beaches. The living room area was massive and my grandson had enough room to layout his ‘hot wheels’ track end2end without every one having to step over it. The only thing we missed out on was not using the pool and bbq area’s, being as it was a bit wet and windy. I bet a summer holiday in this location would be spectacular. All in all, we had a wonderful family holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a beautiful property - it felt like we were staying in an art gallery. It is well looked after and when we called with a couple of issues they were sorted out near-instantaneously. The location is excellent with lovely views of the tide coming in and out of the Gannel. The door at the bottom of the garden leads straight onto the beach so we especially appreciated the provision of three paddleboards and two kayaks for guests which provided lots of fun (albeit in our own thick wetsuits as it was January). It is also only a five minute walk from Fistral beach for surfing.
