Tree House 38: Cozy ocean-side home,steps from beach w/pool access

It was a fun stay at the tree house.

The bedrooms were spacious. Excellent wifi- no issues at all. I loved the outdoor deck area, the new outdoor showers and space under the house was very helpful. The beach access is about 20 yards from the driveway. The pool was lovely and just a quick bike ride away. The living, dining, and kitchen area was quaint, at times tight for 10 people, but worked just fine for us as we spent most of our time at the beach, pool, or outside. Vacasa did a great job managing the house. We had a slight issue with the central air but they brought over window units until the HVAC company could fix the central air (which was very quick). We had a great experience. I highly recommend the Tree House 38.

Sunrises are spectacular!!

The view of the ocean from the balcony is excellent, and it is extremely convenient to the beach. You will love how easy it is to go back and forth safely to the beach with your family. The place itself and the surrounding neighborhood have a very relaxing vibe that is reminiscent of how the Outer Banks felt in decades past. You won't regret staying here.

The Tree House was a great place for our family to celebrate our annual beach week. It had plenty of room but still afforded privacy while keeping everyone under the same roof. The amenities are great. Overall, a great location and house for a wonderful week at our favorite vacation spot.

Loved the veiw and sound of the ocean right on the back balcony! Bed(s) were comfortable too! Thanks for a pleasant rental.

This house was located in a great location. No roads to cross to access the beach. Great location to the local shops. Very relaxed and laid-back location for parents and adult kids (18 & 21)

Besides the hiccup with housekeeping when we first arrived, we enjoyed ourselves. After discovering all the missteps by housekeeping I alerted Vacasa and they rectified the situation. The house is very well stocked and tastefully decorated. The owners have provided everything you may need for a week at the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms quite large. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view and breeze of the ocean. This house is on a culdesac in a very quiet neighborhood. The walkway to the beach was next door. Our family of 8 will return next year.

Proximity to the beach and being on the quiet end of the island is very nice.

House itself was awesome , preparation of house for our stay was not . House was supposed to be ready for occupancy at 6 PM. We were texted a message that house was ready to move in . We arrived at approx 6:30 PM. House was not ready . It had not been cleaned and fresh linens were not on beds. I spoke to Vacasa Mgmt about situation and someone from Mgmt came to house . He told us that cleaning people were on the way with linens . They arrived shortly there after with linens and began a quick clean from previous renters . They acted like they just bring linens but don’t make beds . I spoke to supervisor about situation and he said he would take care of it . Eventually they made up the beds on lower level but acted like they didn’t have to do that . The master bedroom was never touched . We assumed that they put new linens on master BR . As we later prepared to go to bed we discovered that master had no linens on it and there were no King size linens anywhere in house . Tried to contact Mgmt but could not get hold of any one that night. Found one set of twin sheets . Put them on the king by using two sheets sideways on top of mattress . Had no top sheets ! ?The next day they brought set of king sheets. When I could not get hold of anyone to help us that night , I did get hold of someone from customer service who was in Florida. He said he could not help us that night but would take care of situation . I told him I was totally not happy with situation and wanted a credit for one day to be returned to me . He said he would look into the situation and get back with me . He never did !!? I would like for someone from Vacasa Mgmt to contact me at xxx-xxx-xxxx to discuss situation . I am still expecting some one to contact me ! Not that it matters but I am a building contractor and I built that home , the Tree House back in 1983 . I am still expecting a call and a refund for that one day because of all the issues we had . Look forward to hearing from someone . Thank you.
