Calling all nature enthusiasts to this rustic home on the Suwannee River. Bring your family, friends, and boat to see what the lower Suwannee River basin has to offer you!
From fishing to nature walks, history lessons at the Shell Mound, or swimming at Manatee Springs this house has a lot to offer those who want to unplug from electronics and visit nature!
Other things to note
The house is on stilts and the dock does not have railing, please accompany children at ALL times.
This property is backed up to the Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge, there is no shortage of bugs- be sure to bring your bug spray to keep the mosquitoes away! Also, be aware of the occasional snake and/or alligator. You’re in nature at this house!
While this home does have WiFi, it is very rudimentary. We suggest you spend time outdoors and connect only a few devises at a time to the WiFi.
Are your kids hoping to have phone service here ...good luck! Most visitors will not have cellular reception. Great time to “unplug” and relax!

The host emailed that they were sending a map, but it was never included and then our GPS took us to a street 10 miles away on everyone’s phone on all different map apps. We booked this place because it is rural and that’s exactly what we were wanting, however we were not expecting roaches, spider webs and eggs on the windows and walls, and bats coming down the chimney and chirping all night long. The rooster next door began crowing at dawn and didn’t stop all day long. We had dirty bathroom rugs. The potholders were caked in food. Glasses and silverware were put away dirty. There were socks under the loveseat. The ceiling fans are thick with crud. Kitchen utensils were scarce and there was no colander. This house is for sale and has been remodeled, so there’s construction debris outside in piles. My husband almost fell into the river through the dock boards that need replaced. We didn’t/couldn’t reach out to the owner during our stay about any of these issues, because there was no cell phone service and the wifi network/password provided didn’t work.
