Stayed Dec 13, 2020Loved my stay at Stacey's property. Very private and quiet, yet walking distance to so many great restaurants and shops. Also super easy access to the 101 if venturing outside of Silver Lake, and no problems with finding street parking either. All in all a wonderful stay and I am looking forward to coming back sometime!

Stayed Sep 16, 2020We needed a lovely place for a high profile client to stay that is close to our working location just outside of downtown LA and this place was exactly what we and our client was looking for. Not too far from a lot of great hiking spots. The place even has a nice and quiet area in the back to enjoy a cup of coffee and quiet contemplation in nature. Stacey was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend!

Stayed Oct 23, 2017Stacey was great to work with. She ensured we had a very easy check in by providing every detail we needed electronically prior to arrival. She was very interested in ensuring things were going well for us by messaging us when we arrived, and she was easy to contact in the event we needed assistance. The house has everything you could want. The welcome basket was so lovely to find when we arrived. It was very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is related to a few issues that we encountered. We had to drive the streets searching for parking 5 out of 7 nights and ended up parking up a super steep street around the corner most times. There is a two car garage on site and a driveway, but you are not allowed to use them. Our experience was that if we got home after 8 PM we were out of luck for parking. Also, we found the bed was a tad short and sloped toward the head so it wasn't very comfy. The couch, however was fine to sleep on. We did lose power on the morning we left, which a search of Twitter identified as a fairly common occurrence in Silver Lake. It was out for hours, so if you're like me and you need the use of a blow dryer before you leave home, you could find yourself looking like a frightful mess if the power goes out. The dishwasher worked but we noted a burning smell, so we used it only once and washed dishes by hand the rest of the week. The clothes washer and dryer were very good though and we certainly appreciated having use of them. As for the Silver Lake area, I felt it was safe enough. We went out one evening looking for some night life (by car) and found everything closed by 9 or 10. We didn't really take a thorough walk around the neighbourhood, so we likely missed stuff, but we didn't really find anything while driving the area. We did a lot of sight seeing in LA, but Silver Lake wasn't really part of that. It was a good home base for us, however we did need a car to see LA. I found there were too many cars and not enough places to park them, though this was not isolated to Silver Lake.

Stayed Mar 24, 2017When we arrived entry was really easy and we were surprised to see that Stacey had left us a bottle of wine and a bag of coffee- that was a nice touch. Kitchen was fully equipped and we could have cooked a Thanksgiving dinner there if we needed to. I just have positive things to say about this place and we would definitely stay there again!

Stayed Dec 26, 2016We were particularly impressed by the thoughtful amenities, everything from a truly fully equipped kitchen to bathroom scales and a first aid kit. This property has everything you will need for a home away from home. Because we stayed for five days we especially appreciated the washer and dryer. The little house was immaculately clean when we arrived and was easy to keep clean and tidy during our stay. The furnishings are super comfy, including the queen sized bed even if the bedroom is quite small. We were traveling with extended family and wanted proximity for sharing meals and conversation, but also a bit of privacy, so booking both units really filled the bill. Our hostess was very responsive when we communicated with her, though she had thought of everything we might need and more so we didn't need to call on her during our stay. The neighborhood was quiet at night for restful sleep and if you don't mind really steep hills is good for taking walks with a lovely park nearby. If you're venturing out at night just look about for skunks because like in many large cities these little animals come out in residential areas after dark. All in all staying here made being in one of the world's largest most traffic crazy cities feel feel relaxing and fun.

Stayed Dec 30, 2016The property is comfortable and well appointed. This was a better equipped kitchen than I've found at many rentals. And the washer/dryer was a bonus. The owner was lovely and very responsive to a minor repair issue. The neighborhood is fun, although walking may not be an option for those with limited mobility or small children--very steep hills on all sides. The only outdoor space is a sparsely furnished front porch, which might be a drawback in good weather. Since it was chilly out for our stay this was less a factor. The description highlights walks around Silverlake Reservoir but it is drained and filled with dredging equipment--not at all inviting.
