Tranquility on Keuka: Family Retreat with Private Lakefront

We celebrated a friend’s 40th birthday with 8 women. The house met all of our needs. Close to wineries and restaurants.

Had a great time! The property is absolute beautiful and close to many wineries and other activities! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The location of the house was beautiful and it was clean and spacious. We found communication with the property management group difficult - we didn’t receive the lock box code until the last second (and only after calling to get it) and they required a lot of additional details outside of the VRBO platform after booking. I wish the photos made it clear that one of the bedrooms is a small windowless room in the basement and it has mold growing in one of the corners. It smelled musty and was just generally unpleasant - well all opted for piling into the upstairs bedrooms (fortunately we’re all good friends!) over anyone sleeping in that room. I really don’t think it should be a bedroom. None of the beds in the bunk bed room were made - we had to put the sheets on all the beds. I recommend that they add more blankets to the beds as well as it’s quite cold outside and the beds just had a sheet and a light quilt. Also, a fuse blew in the upstairs bathroom (we didn’t have anything plugged in, it happened randomly) and we couldn’t access the fuse box. There was a beeping sound coming from behind a locked door in the basement - someone from the property management group came to fix it but it started again a few hours later. Overall, I don’t think I’d stay here again despite the lovely location - the management group left a lot to be desired.

Two families stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. This house was wonderful in many ways: the view and access to the lake was fabulous. The neighborhood was quiet for us. The road is lovely for walking. It was new and clean, and the kitchen has everything you could possible need. It was more than large enough for 8 adults. However, a caution to renters about the stairs-- they were short and covered with carpeting making them difficult to navigate. The deck is also slanted so just be careful!

The house was exactly as described. My group had an amazing stay for my birthday weekend. The only thing I would agree with on another review was the basement did have a musty smell. Like the sewer is not vented properly? I would definitely stay again though.

Very nice getaway for the whole family

Me and 4 other girlfriends stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our 50th Birthddays. We had a wonderful stay! The house was super clean and had nice touches - and we enjoyed the deck, firepit and relaxing on the dock.

My family and I stayed at this property for 5 days and we had a great time! The house was extremely clean and came with numerous amenities. We appreciated the wine/beer fridge, the basketball hoop outside, and the 2 kayaks near the dock. It took maybe less than a minute to walk from the entrance of the house to the lake, and the older adults in our group had no trouble walking this path. We used the firepit near the dock every night we were there. The basement did have an odor when we first arrived but after burning some candles I did not notice the smell for the rest of our trip. At our last trip to FLX we stayed at a different property that also had a basement that smelled, so perhaps it's normal for a house that's right next to a lake. Be careful when using your Google Maps, if you type in the actual address it will try to take you to a house that's near the bottom of the lake which is incorrect!

Our visit to Tranquility on Keuka was to celebrate my mother's 89th Birthday. My two sisters and our families joined her for a long weekend of fun filled water play, large family meals and game nights. The cottage is three floors accommodating all of our family members comfortably. The owners have done a magnificent job outfitting the cottage. The kitchen is fully stocked - they have thought of EVERYTHING! The rooms are nicely decorated and beds comfortable. We had a wonderful time as did our Mom. We did bring our own boat to enjoy lake sports but there are many things the owners have there for folks to enjoy the water as well. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for families to enjoy time together. The only complaint we heard from kids was that our stay wasn't long enough!

Beautiful home! Lots of amenities, close to town, peaceful location- perfect place for a relaxing weekend on the water with family and friends!
