Stayed Sep 10, 2025Gas boiler had failed inspection so no hot water during stay. Could not find gas boiler so assume it was next door- certificates were out of date anyway. Owners did best by providing electric heaters. Kitchen and bathroom described as modern on website but both are old and in need of updating. Electric shower was either freezing or so hot, danger of scalding. Oven in kitchen very worn and throws out cold air as you stand in front of it. Laminate floor taped down where it is beginning to lift with age. We had to boil water to take through to bathroom for washing but no door handles on two interior doors. You have to use finger nails to pull open one of the doors. Bed linen was clean but again old. Pillows were lumpy. Poor lighting in bedroom, no overhead lighting at all in conservatory. No privacy in bedroom which is a few feet from pedestrians and main road, had to keep curtains pulled. Hairdryer smells as if it is on its way out. Chairs in dining room uncomfortable and not as photos. No milk provided. No kitchen roll. Key safe not attached- you could walk off with it. The sitting room was pleasantly decorated and comfortable, however CD player didn’t work. We expected a much better standard for the cost of staying at this property. This was our first time booking with Vrbo. Vrbo need to make an inspection as it reflects very poorly on this booking site.

Stayed May 12, 2025Nice house near Stirling in a quiet village. Friendly host who answered questions quickly. Simple check in and out process. Spacious place with plenty of room and the means for my adult son to enjoy some steaks. Ample shower space. Nearby Coop and store a quick walk from the house. Fun, friendly dog enjoyed as well.

Stayed Sep 13, 2024The location to Stirling was great. Very quiet. Siri had a hard time finding it (not sure why). Also, we suggested to owners put their number of the side of the house which faces the street since the picture shows the front which is not the street view.

Stayed Jul 3, 2024This property is true to the pictures. It was clean and comfortable. There was an enormous amount of space for the two of us. The property owners, Sean and Mairi were incredibly helpful and kind.

Stayed Jun 12, 2024The cottage was lovely and an excellent location to explore not only Sterling but the Trossach trail as well. Recommend the pub by the brilliant falls in Killin, try the smoke house on site.

Stayed Jun 11, 2022Overall the property was good to stay in however the following issues should be considered. The pillows were extremely lumpy and unusable. The quilt cover was too big for the quilt that made sleeping uncomfortable. The security lights from the joinery business across the road shone into the main bedroom all night as the blinds did not provide coverage and there were no curtains. It was difficult to pull the blinds down as there was no drawing mechanisms. The postcode using Google maps does take you to the address. There was minimal information about the facilities in the cottage for example the TV and the surrounding area, health services, cafes and restaurants.

Stayed May 18, 2022Nice little cottage in a pleasant area. Very kind and helpful owners. Great for children. Comfortable beds. Handy for parks and getting into Sterling city. Some furniture and rooms could benefit from a makeover.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My wife and daughter and I had a great stay at this lovely cottage just outside Stirling. It was my wife’s 60th birthday and we were able to use this as a base for a weekend of celebrations and host family members who had journeyed from different areas. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the owners who were on-site made us feel very welcome and did all they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this for a great wee break or an extended holiday in this area.
