My son and I stayed at the beautiful Tracy sur Mer in Bayeux France recently. It's illustration as a charming little gite describes it perfectly. The cottage was so cute and cozy. It offered two bedrooms which was perfect for us. The property was lush and well kept with a lovely little garden in the back to relax after a full day. Our host Christine was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with terrific ideas about what to do in Normandy. Our French is very weak but she demonstrated kindness and patience continuously throughout our stay. We ran into a problem with our vehicle and she came over right away and offered a quick solution. Her help was above and beyond. Thank you so much, we had an incredible time and would recommend this little gem to all!!

This was a lovely place. Rustic charm with all the modern amenities. Close to many of the WW2 sites and minutes away from the WW2 museum in Arromanches, which is a definite must see.

What a lovely gite! We received great communication and the welcome to the property was superb. There is everything you would need for a comfortable stay, the weather was quite cold the first evening so we had a roaring fire using the wood burner. Huge garden with bbq available if wanted and sun loungers for the warmer weather. Everything you would need in the kitchen and I mustn’t forget to also say the beds are comfortable and the shower was amazing! Thank you for providing a lovely space for us to use, will certainly be returning.

The welcome pack consisted of a bottle of Normandy cider (which we don't drink) and a box of coffee pods. No milk to go with the pods. The fridge contained an opened pack of President butter that had been there for how long? The gite is small as expected from the description but we never expected it to be so cluttered. In an area of 40cm squared were to be found a kettle, a coffee pod machine, a drip filter coffee machine and a toaster. The kettle needed to be unplugged to refill. The fridge/freezer is very good. The shower is excellent although there is no anti-slip shower mat and no grab handle for older people so quite dangerous. I had to put a towel on top of the shower tray. There was just a 3/4 used toilet roll with no spare. Cleanliness was fine: no cobwebs, decent linen on the beds. But the mezzanine is definitely for children as the very low beams mean bumped heads for adults. The living room/dining room is cluttered. The glasses are laughable: wine glasses the size of large thimbles, water glasses from Nutella, some other things from yogurt (possibly?). Small glasses for beer. Not good. The dishwasher is excellent. We used the main one and not the one under the cooker hob. The hob was marked and difficult to clean as there was not an induction hob cleaner just three different sorts of vinegar. The vacuum cleaner didn't work because it was blocked so we couldn't clean on exit. So 3* is fair.

Cosy, characterful little house, nice garden, quiet & peaceful. We stayed here in May with our grown up son. Brilliant base for exploring Bayeux, Caen and the coast. Even made it Mont St. Michelle. We really enjoyed being close to the many beaches with all their history, and beautiful scenery. Bayeux convenient for shopping, eating and more history. Own transport essential. We'd go back!

Wonderful little holiday home, with nice kitchen and bathroom. The garden around the home was also very nice which we enjoyed a lot during our stay. Good value for money, highly recommended!
