The host, Patty, was very attentive and helpful. The house had everything we needed and had a great stay.

Wonderful and attentive host. The property is in a fantastic location, perfect walking distance to the village. The gated parking is ideal. The pool and patio is the gem of this property, it is where we spent the majority of our stay. The showers needed some attention (the claw foot tubs on the third floor had a hole cut in the curtain for the shower head and they didn't close all the way)and the changing company may need to be given a call since there was a layer of dust on all light fixtures and fans.

We had 14 family members meeting in St Simon for a family reunion and this place was wonderful. The home has such old world charm and is decorated with such a warm style that you immediately begin relaxing the moment you walk into the place. And the location is ideal - it is just a minute walk from the beach and a 3 minute walk from the main street of the village or a 5 minute drive from a grocery store among other businesses. The place was perfect for our large group - there was common areas for us all to relax by the pool, eat or play games together while also having enough space for individuals or smaller groups seeing solace to read or have a conversation.

Beautiful, historic home with amazing accessibility to all St. Simons has to offer. We walked to the weekend market, enjoyed the pool and terrace, rode bicycles and made memories. Patty and Susan made for a very hospitable stay- we had our annual family holiday at the Carriage Strachan house and were so blessed by it. Absolutely beautiful location.

Great place to have a family vacation. Our daughters and their family love being in walking distance to stops , pier and playground. We had the sweetest host. It was the first time the little ones had been to a beach. We all enjoyed our vacation together Thank you Patty for everything.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had adults from three different generations and there was something for everyone. Great location, very comfortable, many different seating/ gathering options, and a well-appointed kitchen that had everything we needed for a number of meals around the table. Just lovely!

Great house! Great host! Communication was awesome! Our only complaint was the Georgia beach in general is muddy, due to the marsh, which I didn't know, so that's my fault. The beach that was the closest was short or nonexistent except at LOW tide and that was a bummer. Absolutely loved the pool. Can't think of anything we couldn't find all week like kitchenware, etc. great stay!

Everyone in our extended family raved about this property. Owner Patty was exceedingly helpful and personable from the moment we booked, months in advance of our December stay, and provided an extensive and accurate description of the house and furnishings. Although the weather during our stay was a bit cooler than anticipated (50's and lower 60's), the heated pool was used 3 out of 4 days by all 7 grandchildren--who range from 8 to 15--and afforded much delight. The proximity to the beach, fishing pier, restaurants, and lighthouse, also provided a variety of activities close to home. We recommend this property without reservation!
