Seaview Estates, King size bed, there is exterior security camera in drive way.
The property location was suggested by a former Big Isle resident. Not touristy.
This was a neat area, fun activities, beautiful scenery. House was well equipped, had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay, would stay there again. Easy drive to services and anywhere we wanted to go. Only recommendation would be a more comfortable couch for evening relaxation but beds etc were great! Loved having two full bathrooms and equipped kitchen.
A very nice clean house. Very close to other homes so it was quite noisy early morning.
Met our expectations. Very clean with ample space for my wife and me. Very quiet neighborhood (except for the Coqui frogs that sing to you at night).
Felt like an authentic Hawaiian vacation, much better than a hotel! Modern house, great balcony upstairs for stargazing. Very nice neighborhood. Great property. There’s a park right down the street where they have “Sunday Funday” with drum circles, fire throwers, and food vendors. Easy drive to Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots and Volcano National Park. We would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was very well appointed and clean. Loved having our morning breakfast and coffee on the front porch as the surrounding area was beautiful with all the tropical foliage. Our hosts were gracious and very helpful with updates on what was happening on the island. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t available at the house. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property owners were friendly and kind. The home has everything you need and the bed is huge. The lanai is nice to eat outside and sit at night and watch the moon rise over the ocean. There is a friendly little cat to greet you outside in the morning. The area is absolutely gorgeous and there are some magical places in nature to explore. Highly recommended!
My friend and I were looking for a place to stay that was near Kalapana and this location was perfect! The owner's Richard and Mark were very responsive anytime I had a question prior to our stay and once we arrived. They have thought of everything! The home is VERY well equipped from the kitchen to the bathroom everything we needed was there. Very calm and quiet location. I would absolutely stay here again! I have noticed that some reviews stated poor cell reception, I use Verizon and had no problems.
Everything thing you need to make your vacation memorable. No cell service but a wireless network for communication with home. This area of the Big Island often gets bypassed but it's truly worth exploring. The king size bed is really comfortable, it makes me wonder about our bed choice at home. Laundry is a little challenging. Washer is located in the big house under stairs on the side lanai. No dryer but there is a close line to hang dry your clothes. Our favorite finds were Kapoho tide pools ,Ahalanui warm springs and Uncle Roberts on Wednesday nights.
Only small issue was no cell phone coverage. Had to drive to get service. No biggie because you are there to relax!
We had an amazing 8 day vacation on the Puna Coast! Richard and Mark are amazing hosts friendly, approachable, full of local information, but respectful of your privacy. There is no better place to stay for exploring the Puna Coast. Close to Pahoa for restaurants, farmers markets, Uncle Roberts for libations and local color, especially on Wednesdays. The not to be missed lava walk to see the surface flows and the truly incredible boat tour with Kalapana Cultural Tours to see the amazing lava fire hose pouring into the ocean. We met many wonderful local people and visitors to the island spending many an hour sharing stories. Kehena beach is close by as well as the thermal pools. We look forward to returning and staying with Mark and Richard again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your graciousness and warm welcome. See you soon! Tracy & Paul Hodgson
