This Spanish style house sits atop a cobblestone street in the historic Edgewater neighborhood. Designed in the 1920s by Rockford s most famous architect, Jessie Barloga, Barloga homes represent the finest in Spanish-style, English Tudor and Art Deco architecture throughout Rockford proper. With a fully modernized, gourmet stocked kitchen, this lovely three-bedroom home sleeps 6. Whether you need a place to stay for work or pleasure, you will feel right at home in this cozy gem. The cathedral-like living room, with its arched barrel ceilings and hardwood floors, is flooded with natural light and an original fireplace. Throughout the home, the furniture was carefully chosen to be comfortable and sheek, accented with art pieces, books, and Rockford memorabilia. The environment created serves as a unique and interesting experience, as well as meeting the need for a great visual backdrop for your family vacation photographs and everlasting memories. The fully renovated kitchen, equipped with black stainless gas stove-top and oven, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, Whirly Pop popcorn machine and huge refrigerator, is the perfect place to fix full meals for you and your hungry family. There is a kitchen table as well as a full dining room. A front load washer and dryer are also available for your convenience. The home is a block from the beautiful and serene Rock River and walking path, and a brisk walk to the nearby Nicholas Conservatory, University of Illinois School of Medicine, and famous Japanese Anderson Gardens. The house is located two miles from downtown restaurants and shops, and is a 5 minute drive to Rockford University, Mercy Hospital, Sundstrand and Woodward Governor. There is so much to see in Rockford! To get some exercise, consider going on a walking tour of the Rock River, or the 320 mile Rock River Trail is available for your pleasure. While you snuggle up in the main area to watch a movie, the second story bedroom is perfect for the kids to get away and enjoy themselves (and their popcorn!). With two futons and lots of space to play and work, you can be assured that every person s needs for privacy will be met. You will never want to leave the Clinton House after your visit, but the experience will create memories worth repeating.

Just the right mix of eclectic fun & practicality. Great location & neighborhood. Recommend that ownership add seating out front or perhaps some folding chairs for use out front as it’s a lovely place to relax. Also, fyi, bathtub upstairs is VERY slippery…maybe add a mat or non-slip stickers.

We enjoyed the living spaces in this house which is in a lovely old neighborhood near the river. It's a good place to wander around, especially if you appreciate old architecture. The living room windows are beautiful and we enjoyed them on our sunny Saturday. Both beds were comfortable. We love all the color in the place! Some repairs would be good: the bathroom door doesn't shut; one of the dining room chairs has a sunken seat; the overhead light in the front bedroom is either burnt out or needs wiring repaired. The location and aesthetics of this home make for a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved this house. Filled with lots of unique charm from the 1920’s and pop culture it was a wonderful place to stay. We walked across the bridge to Sinisippi Park and walked along the river. It is a beautiful neighborhood from the turn of the last century, so I highly recommend taking a walk around the neighborhood too. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The back yard was a great place to sit and read a book.

We wanted a comfortable place to be a hangout for our family reunion with our elderly father who lives in Wesley Willows. The living room was great- a beautiful room with nice light and high ceilings, impeccably decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for making coffee and snacking. The bedrooms were well appointed. Our only problem was the loft room has 2 box springs, not mattresses and we could not use that room. Thankfully we had read some reviews from past guests so we had a contingent plan for our 5th family member.
