This Olde House is newly renovated with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths and ready to welcome it's next guests! Situated on 4 acres at the edge of Wayne National Forrest, This Olde House boasts off road access to the Snake Hollow ATV Trail. The property is 0.8 miles from the historic Public Square in Nelsonville, Ohio. Just 24 miles to Old Man's Cave, This Olde House is located in a private area and hosts quick, easy access to both the Hocking Hills Region and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
The main level of the home consists of a spacious mud/laundry room to corral all that hiking and riding gear that may come with you or perhaps that's where you'll store the amazing antiques you find at the Hocking Hills Flea Market in Rockbridge, until it's time take them home. The kitchen is newly renovated with concrete countertops and new appliances. The living room is decorated and furnished with comfy couches and a smart flat screen tv. The Bedrooms are all equipped with flat screen televisions. The master bedroom has a California King bed with fireplace and private entry to the downstairs bathroom, as well as access to the private back porch and fire pit. There are three bedrooms upstairs, the first two rooms host queen beds and the third houses a full size bunk bed and a twin size bunk bed. The second bathroom is located on the second floor as well.
Walking distance to Nelsonville's Public Square where you'll find Stuart's Opera House (the new renovations are phenomenal!) and the local Mine Tavern. FullBrooks café sits on the opposite corner. On the opposite side of the square, The Nelsonville Emporium is a unique shop that sells local art and amazing home made ceramics. They are also now serving lunch and delicious locally made treats! Mama Renie's Pizza is a local favorite, offering pizza, subs, calzones, Stromboli, pastas.... It's also ran by one of our very favorite people. The Nelsonville City Waterpark is located just another block from the square and across the street from the Rocky Outdoor Store and the Rocky Boot Grill. This spot is also where you'll find the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway!

A group of close friends and I needed a place to stay for a wedding weekend and This Olde House was the perfect home base for us! It had everything we needed and some fun extras (Girl Scout cookies are always the best surprise). It was clean and roomy, and we really appreciated being able to have space to all hang out during any downtime we had. Teige was also easy to get in contact with and made check-in super easy!

We all enjoyed our stay. The property is not more than a 20 minute drive to where we wanted to be.

There was a lot of sleeping space for 12 people and the beds were very comfortable. Having 2 full baths was a blessing with 6 adults in our group. We loved being able to use the charcoal grill on the lovely back porch. We would have used the fire pit too, but it rained over our stay. Tiege even supplied fixings for s'mores! The air conditioning worked great and there were ceiling fans in most of the rooms, and extra table fans if needed. Our only complaints: The house was a little more off the beaten path than expected, the water pressure in the upstairs bath was low, the house had a musty smell and there were some areas of thick dust, (especially in the windows) that are most likely due to the age of the house. Tiege was great to work with.

We had a wonderful time at Ward! Great communication, very clean, mattresses were comfortable, and the host left thoughtful snack and items for us to use. Perfect distance from lots of hiking, Athens, and Hocking Hills!

We really enjoyed our stay this weekend! The house is beautiful and it had everything we needed to make our weekend perfect! The owners were great and really went above and beyond leaving treats for us to enjoy throughout our stay! With two kids at OU, we'll definitely be back!!

The house was just what we needed for our online friend group to get together and play board games through the weekend.

Two families stayed here while taking daily trips to Hocking Hills. The house was cutely decorated and clearly recently redone. Clean and stocked for us with everything needed. Teige even left a bunch of goodies/snacks for the kids to enjoy. She was very easy to work with, responded to any questions we had and gave great recommendations. The house has plenty of space and we enjoyed the outdoor covered deck area each night playing cards and having a bonfire. Thank you for the stay!
